Cadex Herrera

Earlier in 2021 as we planned our way forward, we had the idea of showcasing the work of our very own Cadex Herrera, a Benqueño residing in the USA through a Visual Art Exhibition.

For one thing we know is that one friend leads to the other and that is when the idea bloomed with the Visionary and Art master, Yasser Musa to bring Cadex Home and expand on opportunities not just for Benque but for any artists who wishes to join the movement.

We presented the idea to NICH President Ms. Sapna Budhrani and she well embraced the idea and would support the artists travels. Habet & Habet with paint and supplies. Mayor Jorge Rosales & Benque Viejo Town Council with approval for the use of wall space, plastering of wall and other logistics.

As we gathered momentum and time was soon fast approaching, we encounter the third covid 19 in Belize and exposure to the variant, this seizes the moment and leads us to postponing as we are unable to maximize the opportunity with the artists.

We now invite you to join us this Sat. Sep.4th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. to the idea and move towards new Community and School Art Actions and tabling that ART IS AN ANSWER!

El Concejo Municipal de Benque Viejo avisa al público en general que BWS llevará a cabo trabajos de mejoramiento al sistema de agua potable. Por ende, secciones de las calles Riverside, B y Church Street se cerrarán unos días.

Benque Viejo Town Council informs the general public that BWS will carry out improvements to the water system in town. Sections of Riverside, B and Church Streets will be temporarily closed.
