Re-Entry Permit for Everyone with Resident Permit in Japan! ✈️ 🇯🇵
In short, everyone who have ′′residence visa′′ in Japan and had departed from Japan to the Philippines until August 31 of 2020 and has valid re-entry, will be able to enter Japan starting September 01 of 2020, as long as you present:
1) A ′′Letter of Confirmation of Submitting Necessary Documentation for Re-entry into Japan′′ issued by the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines.
2) Acquire a “Certificate of Testing for COVID-19” from a medical facility in the country/region of stay proving negative test result having undergone a test for COVID-19 within 72 hours prior to departing from the country/region of stay.Acquire a ′′Certificate of the Negative result of the Covid-19 test′′ conducted within 72 hours before flight departure time.
For those going to travel to the Philippines starting September 01 of 2020 the procedure to re-enter Japan as follow:
1a) For those departing Japan from September 01 to 06 of 2020:
- Request of intention to re-enter to Japan directly to the immigration officer at departure airport to acquire the receipt.
1b) For those departing Japan from September 07 and onwards
- Acquire the receipt requesting in advance directly to the Immigration Service Agency through email (email address will be provided on September 01 of 2020, noon)
Example of required information through the email as follow:
特設ホームページ掲載の追加的防疫措置の内容を確認しました。再入国に当たっては, 同措置に従うことを 誓約します。 I have confirmed the additional quarantine measures on the dedicated website and pledge to comply with these measures when re-entering Japan.

- You’ll receive the receipt confirmation in your email, just need to present to the immigration officer at time to departure (in your smartphone or printed)
2) Acquire a “Certificate of Testing for COVID-19” from a medical facility in the country/region of stay proving negative test result having undergone a test for COVID-19 within 72 hours prior to departing from the country/region of stay.
