LAST CALL for Academic Papers!

2024 TTRA CenStates Chapter Annual Conference
October 9 – 11, 2024 | Sioux City, Iowa

This is the last call for academic papers for the upcoming Central States Chapter of the Travel and Tourism Research Association Annual Conference. The conference will provide a platform for participants from destination marketing organizations, academia, government agencies, marketers and other travel industry professionals to convene, exchange ideas, and delve into the latest industry practices and research findings. During the conference, an idea fair will take place, providing attendees with the opportunity to showcase their research findings and engage in idea exchange with industry professionals.

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions require an abstract of up to 500 words and should clearly outline the objectives, methodology, and key findings of the research. All abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Submissions must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Presenters do not need to represent the CenStates chapters. They may come from anywhere in the world. The submissions can cover various topics in tourism and travel. Completed research, conceptual papers, and work-in-progress are all welcome.

Important Dates:

Abstract Submission Deadline: August 19th, 2024
Notification of Acceptance: August 23rd, 2024
Conference Dates: Oct 9th – 11th, 2024

Submission Details:

All proposals should be sent to: [email protected]
Subject: CenStatesTTRA proposal
Each submission should include two documents:
1. Title page (including author names & affiliation)
2. Main document (without author names)

The main document should meet these criteria:

Main body up to 500 words (excluding figures, tables, & references)
Include figures/tables in the manuscript, rather than at the end
Use 12-point Times New Roman font (single spaced)
Use 1-inch margins on all sides.

Participants are limited to a maximum of 2 proposals.

At least one author must register for the conference and present at the conference.
