Calling all local creatives and artisans! If you missed our previous post, we are opening a shop in College Grove,TN and are so excited! If you love to create, have an eye for design/styling, and would like the opportunity to sell your products, whether it be home decor, furniture, vintage items, jewelry, gift items, etc., we’d love to chat!

G E T A W A Y • Mike Wolfe’s Two Lane Guesthouse is a unique, Main Street loft vacation rental in Columbia, Tennessee. Fans of American Pickers get to see picks from the show that Mike has pulled out of barns and sheds across America presented as decor.

The entire one-bedroom loft is located above a bicycle shop inside a two-story brick building dating back to 1857. The loft measures about 1,100 square feet, which for Mike was the perfect size to showcase his own one-of-a-kind, Americana style.

One of my favorite things is to look outside the 13-foot windows at the 1905 courthouse and hear the clock in the tower on top of it chime.

We have been behind the scenes for months now doing a lot…A lot of slowing down, healing, praying, asking questions, and a whole lot of dreaming! We took a huge break from social media in order to focus, hear from God, and do some deep soul work. It’s been crazy hard but oh so good!

From it came a big opportunity and a big decision. Many of you who have followed my journey, know I have a huge heart for the cause of adoption. And it has been a dream for SO LONG to help support families who are embarking on this amazing journey. It’s also been a dream of mine for quite sometime to open a shop, which would give back toward this cause. God has closed the doors on a number of times we have tried. But over the last few months the doors have literally swung open so wide for us to take this leap. And it all has come together so perfectly that I stand in awe.

Right around the corner from us, in our sweet little town of College Grove, is a building that my family has loved. It used to be Sip n Scoop, which my girls visited weekly for ice cream, pizza and just to hang out. When they closed earlier this year, we were so sad. And then the opportunity came for us to take over the building for a shop. It’s been in process for quite awhile and we finally just received county approval!

Stay tuned for more information and details on an opening date for Addie Lane. And PLEASE help us spread the word!

ALSO, WE ARE SEARCHING FOR LOCAL CREATIVES AND ARTISANS, who have an eye for design and styling and would like to showcase their work to sell. This store will be a beautiful combination of both old and new, found and created. We have a limited number of spots for rent. If you or anyone you know is interested in joining us, send us a DM.

It was a drop-the-mic day at Fox & Locke when 10x Grammy Award-winner Chris Stapleton stopped in for a surprise visit. Glad we were stocked-up on Chris’ recently launched Traveller Whiskey, his collaboration with Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Our day got made when Chris mentioned this was the first time to see his whiskey served at a bar. Happy to oblige our hometown boy!!

On Valentine’s Day 1945, a south Georgia born boy and a young Sicillian woman from Wisconsin, met across a hotel lobby in Milwaukee. He, a classically trained violinist and she, an elevator operator with poems in her heart and stars in her eyes. It was love-at-first sight and they wed that night. To get by in between gigs, young and starving newlyweds wrote songs that they sent off to everyone in Billboard magazine. Boudleaux and Felice Bryant went on to get 800 songs cut, including hits such as Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Rocky Top, and All I Have to Do is Dream.

Felice and Boudleaux are no longer with here but their legacy, love story, and music lives on. Their son Del and daughter-in-law Carolyn decided to open a unique loft vacation rental, located inside a two story building dating back to 1850 on the square in Downtown Columbia, featuring a rooftop terrace with courthouse views and luxury accommodations for up to three guests.

At Cozy Cottage, you can visit the goats and mini donkeys on the property, enjoy a camp fire in the backyard firepit, surrounded by benches crafted from wood harvested on the property, or take a nap on the covered front porch on the suspended bed swing while listening to the birds in the surrounding stately maple trees. When you are feeling brave, you can explore the historic cemetery on the property, featuring a revolutionary war veteran who was likely granted this land as a payment for his service!
