Venice Water Taxi: Grand Canal Architecture, Italy
Here we are in Venice Italy, taking a water taxi along the Grand Canal to the train station. The architecture along this part of the Grand Canal, tells the story of Venice’s evolution from a maritime republic to a cosmopolitan hub. Many of these buildings were homes and offices of merchants, who conducted trade between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The styles reflect the city’s openness to different cultural influences, and its role as a melting pot of ideas, art, and commerce. Today, these historic buildings continue to be admired not only for their beauty, but also for their resilience, having withstood centuries of change, flooding, and wear. They serve a mix of modern purposes. Many have been converted into shops, boutiques, cafés, and restaurants, catering primarily to tourists. Others have become boutique hotels, art galleries, and exhibition spaces, allowing visitors to experience Venetian culture up close.

Small Momella Lake, Arusha: Game Drive & Picnic
During a game drive in Arusha National Park, in Tanzania, we stopped at the Small Momella lake to eat lunch. We had brought box lunches from our hotel, and it was a perfect spot, with a few tables under umbrellas, located at the top of a hill overlooking Small Momella. To get to the picnic spot, you had to walk up a small trail with a number of steps. There was another area on the way up you could use, but we would recommend the top as it has the best views. From here, you could get amazing panoramic views of Small Momella Lake. Like its counterparts, Small Momella was formed through ancient volcanic activity, linked to nearby Mount Meru. The lake is fed by underground springs and seasonal rainfall, contributing to its consistent water levels and unique alkaline properties. After lunch, we took a quick toilet break at the bathrooms located up a different set of steps, and then it was back to our vehicle to continue our safari.

Ancient History and Villa Jovis in Capri Italy
After Augustus's control of Capri Italy, his successor Tiberius relocated to the island, and further developed it by building twelve villas. Tiberius actually spent the last ten years of his reign on Capri, likely due to political maneuvers in Rome, and his fear of assassination. One of his most iconic Villas, Villa Jovis, was constructed in a secluded area, with his quarters in the difficult-to-reach and heavily guarded north and east sections. Despite these precautions, Tiberius died in his bed at 77, possibly from poison or smothering. Located on the northeastern tip of the island, you can still visit the remains of this massive villa. Surprisingly, after the death of Tiberius, Capri was no longer really visited by Emperors. We only marginally hear about it as the place where the wife and sister of Emperor Commodus were banished.

Now, I am saying venom with these snakes, not poison. If I was to say a poisonous snake, that would mean if I touched it, maybe we get some kind of rash or something, like poison ivy, that doesn't happen. If I were to eat it, I actually don't know what would happen if I ate it. I mean, it wouldn't be fun. But food poisoning, so you ate something that was to make rancid and affected your internal system. Or poison gas, so something in the air that you inhale. So inhale, ingestion or contact is going to be poisoned. Venom needs to be injected into you.So they're injecting it into you via teeth for these animals.

Inside AKA Times Square: First Bedroom in Two Bedroom Suite in NYC
Welcome to a initial glimpse of a Two Bedroom Suite, at the AKA Times Square, in New York City. This particular suite only had one bathroom, but it was clean, modern, and had all of the necessary supplies. There were also several robes provided throughout the suite. Outside of the bathroom, there were two closets. One closet had a nice, stacked washing and drying machine. As we stayed for an extended amount of time, we did use it, and it was a convenient option to have. On the other side, there was another closet that could be used for storage. Turning around, we head into the first of the two bedrooms. This bedroom had a king size bed, with night tables on both sides. There was a TV mounted on the wall, and a few pictures for decoration. It also had a decent full size closet, with drawers on both sides, additional towels, and plenty of space for hanging clothes.
