First stop on the trip home- Island Park, Idaho. 15 minutes down the ATV trail, Tucker reported that Wally was drooling. This was a gross understatement. Sheets of drool were trailing out of the ATV. Pulled over at this nice little creek where he stumbled out and immediately had it coming out of both ends. 😬 Upon further inspection, we found a large amount of 🍄 had been consumed. Luckily we had no internet access to read about organ failure, let him rest and drink lots of fluids and continued ripping around the back country. Found camp along the Henry’s Fork in Box Canyon where Wally continued to drool for the remainder of the evening. He woke up right as rain and hasn’t learned a thing from his experience as he continues to eat anything and everything he comes across.

We seem to be thriving here in Flaming Gorge…but what is not pictured is Fiske climbing out the back emergency exit window of the RV when the door handle came off AGAIN and locked us inside the RV…on the side of the road. We were forced to pull over when we noticed one of our handy side compartment doors was wide open, swinging in the wind. No equipment lost. Dignity still quasi intact. Door handle and locking mechanism to RV gone.

Arches was INCREDIBLE! Saw first hand the importance of drinking water in the desert heat when a fellow hiker tossed their cookies in front of us 🤢…a real highlight for the girls. Favorite arch by far was The Windows. We camped inside the park at Devils Garden and tested Wally’s rock climbing skills…let’s just say he’s very adventurous, but exceptionally clumsy. 🙈 FYI desert breezes feel like a hair dryer, but the star gazing is top notch. ?

Surprised some of our Athens friends with a 3 day stop in Telluride, CO. It was absolutely magical! Telluride is STUNNING and seeing great friends filled all our cups, Wally included. Now we are heading to catch on fire 🔥. Next stop- Arches National Park.

Meet Wally, our goofy 6 month old Springer Spaniel, and follow along as we trek across the beautiful US of A! We will be livin that RV life…that we know absolutely nothing about. First stop, just outside of Memphis, TN. As payment to park our rig, we are now the proud owners of some delicious homemade sausage and soothing tallow “butta” made right here at Gnarled Oak by the lovely owners, Sarah and Kevin.

Reel ‘Em Inn is now live on VRBO! Private pool, dock on the marsh for fishing/crabbing, endless paths for bike riding and a beach so you can take a pic of your feet if that’s your thing (but also stop it).

Porch Properties is beach bound! This work in progress will be making its debut (hopefully) in time for summer on Fripp Island in South Carolina. Paying homage to the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger and a family favorite “Terminator,” we are loving calling her “Isle Be Back.”

String Lake Loop Trail, Grand Teton National Park. The National Parks may be crowded this year, as they should be with so much to admire in the beautiful country we live in, but turns out there’s plenty of room for everyone…wildlife included! (Wildlife not pictured here bc the small people in the photo give plenty of warning that we are coming in hot.)

Bulbs are poppin’ up at Sautee Creek Farms!! I don’t know about you, but I get major Spring fever and all I want to do is be outside. Warm enough to wade in the creek during the day, but cool enough to light a fire at night. Early morning coffee on the porch in a sweater where you conveniently can’t hear the deafening sound of your husband chewing...quiet evening sunset stroll while kids happily play rather than tell you they are starving for the 800th time that day...yes, Spring time at Sautee is magic.

Don’t let the sun set on your summer adventure to Teton Valley...otherwise you’ll be grilling hotdogs in the steamin’ heat, yelling at your kids and fighting over who gets to brave this weird world for the daily grocery store run bc naturally you are out of ketchup.
