It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join us on our panel discussion on the Hidden Black History of New York regional tours launch for Spring Break in Haiti.

Immerse yourself in the culture of the first Free Black Republic Ayiti. Join us as we unveil a journey into some of the hidden history of New York. We are embarking on a new path due to the conflict in Haiti and have selected some locations in the United States that we would like to share.

The topic of discussion “Drowned History”

Be among the first the go on the tour and assist us in reaching students and community at large.

BLESSINGS AND NOURISHMENT MONDAYS...

OUR Spring Break In Ayiti trips have been nothing short of life-changing experiences. Our purpose is to show you a side of Haiti that the media has failed to do or has done through negative stigmas and stereotypes (imagery & editorials).

An immersed experience, students get to interact with the people of the country. Here, we are at a Future For Kids Foundation/orphanage with the Lincoln University - MO students connecting and interacting with the kids. Fundraisers were conducted prior to travel, so the LU Students also made a generous donation in-kind. A full all out hands on experience...

TBT Connecting with the grassroots organizations on the ground gives us the opportunity to get to the people directly.

Chapo Ba/ Hats off to Dr-Fritz Fils-Aime, HAVA founder, and an ally in the movement. He has been providing Dental assistance via setting up Dental Mobile Clinincs in the remote areas of Haiti.

During this trip, Lincoln University-MO students were introduced to Astrid Fidelia who is also part of the diiŵŵa doing amazing medical mission work in Haiti.

Part of the Spring Break In Hait Experience is not just learning the history and visiting the landmarks,we engage with the people.

We visited the in Port-au-Prince. We did some arts and crafts, created different games, sang some pop songs, and played cards. It wasn't alot, but a life changing experience for the Lincoln University students and the children from the orphanage. A relationship was built, and we plan to move forward. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

WHEN HAITI AIDS THE UNITED STATES - IN 1943 during WW II, Haiti donated $ 1 million to the United States to support the war effort.

In the photo, President Elie Lescot presents a million dollar check to Warren Randolph Burgess, Chairman of the New York State War Finances Committee. This sum was invested by the National Bank of the Republic of Haiti in the bonds of the Third Victory Loan.
