Went and did a little exploring at Disney Grand Floridian Resort for a little fun for the kids while mom was enjoying the spa.
The kids enjoyed making sand castle and playing some outdoor games offered

Went to see the Easter egg Display at Disney Grand Floridian Resort. This year the cast members really out did themselves. They were just beautiful. The eggs are made of chocolate. I wonder if they need a volunteer to eat some of these? Lol

Today while waiting for our room to be ready we enjoyed a little downtime in the community room. Here they offer crafts a pool table,foosball, games and of course a Disney movie. I found out that for the holiday they decorated an ostrich egg.

This is a great educational experience. I think its great that the cast members share their culture. When the cast members bring out the drums the kids can try out they love it

These cruises are fantastic. I went with my mom brother sister in law and son on the Mississippi Queen many years ago the cruising was so smooth. Day time activities were fun. Dinner was wonderful including the Mardi Gras parade put on by the staff.
I enjoyed experiencing History along the Mississippi. There was even a Historian lecturer on board.
I truly enjoyed this experience

A little Disney history

The animals at Disney are truly characters too. I enjoy watching them
The gorilla,using a recycled bedspread from one of the resorts, shakes out the bedspread and spreads it on the ground for his afternoon nap. I found this pretty amazing

The giraffes are so graceful and it is so relaxing to just watch them. When it is feeding time they follow behind the Safari vehicle around the grounds and munch when the cast members put food in their feeders

The white rhino look like such docile creatures. It is interesting to find out that the reason they are called white rhinos when they are gray, is that the Affrikkans name was wyd or wide and the early English settlers thought they said white

The young elephants play include what appears to be fighting with a lot of dust flying. I definitely wouldn’t want to be near when that is going on

The topiaries are gorgeous every year for the flower and garden I have tried to make miniature ones at home but did not work out the plants just do their own thing

Flower & Garden topiaries are already popping up all around EPCOT 🌸

Soarin Over California is great. I love smelling the orange blossoms, flying over the Grand Canyon and the desert. The greatest thrill is at the ending with the fireworks

As a reminder, Soarin’ Over California will be returning for DCA’s Food and Wine Festival on March 3rd, 2023 and run until the Festival ends in late April.

Beautiful Hotel. Stayed a few years back and was fortunate to be upgraded to a suite. We enjoyed the food bar offered with the suite, ambiance and the opera performance in the evening

No, you didn't spontaneously travel to Italy, but we love that it feels like you did.
