It's official this time: you can stay 60 days in Thailand without a visa starting July 15. 🌴🇹🇭

🚀 New Visa Regulations in Thailand

Starting Monday, Thailand will allow citizens of 93 countries to enter the kingdom with 60-day visa exemptions.

The kingdom will also implement the Thailand Destination Visa and allow foreign students to stay in Thailand for an additional year after graduation.

🌟 Objectives of the New Measures

These measures aim to:
- Promote tourism 🏖️
- Encourage longer stays 🧳

📅 Official Announcement

The highly anticipated announcement was made on Friday, July 12 by the spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior.

🌍 List of Eligible Countries

The visa exemption period will be extended from 30 to 60 days for citizens of 93 countries, including France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada. 🇫🇷🇧🇪🇨🇭🇨🇦

📄 Thailand Destination Visa

The country will introduce the Thailand Destination Visa, intended for:
- Digital nomads 💻
- Freelancers 🛠️

The new type of visa, valid for five years, allows holders to stay for up to 180 days.

The White Lotus Season 3 Filming Locations Revealed: Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui

✨ Now that the fictional guests of *The White Lotus* Season 3 have officially left their hotel complex in Thailand, the country is preparing to welcome real tourists. ✨

📸 The series recently finished filming in several complexes and locations in Thailand, and although the show will likely air only next year, hotels and tour operators are preparing for their own White Lotus boom.

🏝️ The first two seasons of the series, which chronicles the lives of its wealthy guests and the employees of a luxury hotel, were filmed at Four Seasons properties in Maui, Hawaii, and in the Sicilian city of Taormina. Fans then turned these complexes and cities into must-visit destinations, causing a flood of visitors.

"We expect Thailand to go crazy because everyone knows that as soon as *The White Lotus* airs, it will be impossible to get in," a tourism company stated.

🇹🇭 The TAT announced that the filming took place in Bangkok, Phuket, and Samui.

🌴 According to sources in Samui, scenes on the island were also filmed at the Four Seasons Koh Samui, Anantara Mai Khao, and Taling Ngam Beach - its white sands are at the edge of a tropical jungle lined with palm trees, offering the island’s best sunset views.

🌏📈 New Visa Measures in Thailand to Boost Tourism and Economy 🏖️🇹🇭

On May 28, 2024, the Thai Cabinet approved new visa measures aimed at promoting the tourism sector and boosting the country's economy. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced these changes in a tweet on the same day. 🗓️

1. Visa Exemption (60 days) 🌐✈️
Citizens of 93 countries and territories will benefit from a visa exemption for tourist stays or short-term professional engagements, for a maximum duration of 60 days. These countries include France, Germany, the United States, Japan, and many others. 📃✍️ This list was published by the Department of Consular Affairs of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2. Visa on Arrival (VoA) 🌍🛬
Citizens of 31 countries and territories will be able to apply for a visa on arrival at immigration checkpoints for tourist stays of up to 15 days. This includes countries like Russia, India, China, and Saudi Arabia. 🛂🌟

3. Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) 💻🌴
This new visa is aimed at remote workers, digital nomads, freelancers, as well as participants in various activities such as Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking classes, sports training, medical treatments, seminars, and music festivals. 🎓🎶 Spouses and dependent children of DTV holders are also eligible. The DTV visa offers a stay of 180 days, with a one-time extension for the same duration, and is valid for 5 years with multiple entries. The visa fee is 10,000 baht. 💳🏝️

🥊 Muay Thai Demonstration at the Paris Olympics 🇫🇷

Muay Thai will be featured as a parallel program at the 2024 Paris Olympics from July 26 to August 11. More than 1,000 boxers from 24 countries will participate in this event, according to the president of the IFMA. 🎉

- 🔥 **Exhibitions and workshops** of Thai martial arts
- 🥋 **Matches** between boxers from 24 countries on August 5 and 6
- 📍 **Location:** Club France, open from July 27 to August 11, 2024, from 10 AM to 11 PM for activities and until 2 AM for the Fan Zone at the Grande Halle de la Villette

⛑️ Good News in Thailand: 50 Million Bahts for Tourist Safety in 2024!

Thailand is investing a budget of 50 million bahts (approximately 1.28 million euros) in a tourist insurance program. The goal: ensuring the financial safety of foreign travelers in case of death or accidents during the year 2024. 🛡️💼

This initiative from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports aims to address the financial difficulties faced by some tourists involved in incidents in Thailand, often due to the lack of insurance or refusal of coverage by their insurance. 🏥💔

The allocated amount is expected to cover the target of 35 million arrivals of foreign tourists in 2024, offering a maximum coverage of 1 million bahts (approximately 25,785 euros) in case of death and 300,000 bahts (approximately 7,735 euros) for incidents such as the loss of an organ, loss of vision, or permanent disability. Medical expenses are also included, with a maximum of 500,000 bahts (approximately 12,892 euros). 🌍💰
