Winging it is great....until it isn't. I totally get it. The planning and the knowing where to be can seem daunting and the urge to just show up and do what catches your eye can be strong. But then you get there and feel like you're missing out because, darn you really wanted to ride Rise of the Resistance but you didn't know about Virtual Queues, and meeting Mickey was at the top of your list but it kept getting bumped down and now its 7pm and Mickey has gone home for the day.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS!
You don't have to know it all, you just need to work with a travel agent that does. Having someone on your side that understands the needs and wants for your travel party is the secret sauce. Have you attended an after hours event or holiday party? What was your favorite? I loved Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but honestly I think I loved the Magic Kingdom after hours event more. While the Halloween party was full of costumes, candy, and characters; the after hours event was way more laid back. The crowds were so low that we were the only ones on rides many times! Plus you get all the popcorn, Mickey premium bars, and bottled sodas you can enjoy included in your ticket cost!

I know, I know...you're going to Walt Disney World and you don't want to waste a single second on resting. But to be totally honest I think you're doing a great disservice to yourself and your travel party if you don't plan some R&R. On average, you'll probably walk around 10 miles a day inside the 4 theme parks. That's a lot of steps for a grown up let alone kiddos.

Consider a pool day so you can sleep in, grab some Mickey waffles, and splash in the resort pool. There are so many things to do just at your resort that you may be missing out on if you don't reserve any time there.
