: Let's face it, surprises happen. I've had a few clients message me, "I just found out I'm pregnant, can I still cruise?" First off, congratulations! Secondly, you absolutely can! However, depending on which cruise line, you have to be 23 to 24 weeks or less!

Keep that in mind, whether it's a wonderful surprise or not, to plan early in advance so you're not having to cancel plans. Message me for more details, or message me if you're planning a Baby Moon! :)

: Swim Season is upon us! From beaches to pools, having the proper swim wear for children is super important. The UV Index varies in different places, and if you're headed closer to the equator, more harm can be done. Nothing is stops the fun on a vacation like a horrible sun burn.

**RASH GUARDS - I like buying my kiddos long sleeve rash guards. And not only any, but brightly colored (neon colored) ones. This helps me easily spot them in a crowd, and I also followed the visibility guideline. **HATS - I know I don't do this enough as an adult, but for my kiddos, I will try to keep a hat on them. If your little one is anything like mine, I safety pin (loosely of course) the flaps of the hat onto his swim suit!

**WATER BREAKS/ SUN BLOCK RE-APPLICATION - I'm so glad swimming pools have safety breaks, but what happens when you're at the beach? You can easily set an alarm on your phone (45 minutes) for water breaks and sun block re-application.

Safety first. Keep a close watch on those kiddos, anything can happen at any second. No one is ever too cool for a life vest, no one is ever too cool for sun block!

: I don't know about you but this spring (it's not even officially summer yet) has been HOT, HOT, HOT! We leave to Miami in a couple of weeks here and I want to do nothing but be in water. I think about my Orlando (Disney/Universal) folks as well, and nothing is worst than cranky kids brought to you by heat and exhaustion.

"THE HILLS ARE ALIVE.....WITH THE SOUND OF MUSIC!!" When I think Vienna, I think Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp Family. I remember all those beautiful, lush scenes from the movie, and catchy songs of Do-Re-Mi. There’s so much history and beauty in this country! Come explore with me!

**Schonbrunn Palace- Vienna is filled with history, and this palace is one of them! Schonbrunn means "beautiful spring," and was a summer residence for many of Austria's rulers! I don't know about you, but I would love to escape modern housing and see how rulers live!

**Hallstatt by Train- a three hour train ride from the city can you get to one of the most beautiful places north of Vienna! From 16th century alpine houses to cute cafes and shops, you'll capture the essence of this quaint town known for it's ancient salt mines!

**Mozart Concert- Soak up Vienna's rich music with the Vienna Mozart Orchestra in a historic venue and travel back to the 18th century. The performers are all dressed in period costumes; it'll truly be as if you're seeing Mozart himself!

**Wiener Schnitzel- you can't travel without tasting the country's favorite! Wiener Schnitzel is breaded and fried veal, which can be dated back to the 18th century in Vienna. Taste this delicious traditional meal at every corner!

: I've had a few Honeymoon inquiries this month already and it makes me think about what I would have done differently on ours 10 years ago! These youngin's are picking some pretty amazing places that I never even thought about 10 years ago.

First off, we were DIRT broke. Ha ha. We did what we could to make it not a local honeymoon. We were lucky to be gifted an Vacation House from a famous lawyer in our town- which definitely helped us save a bunch. We went to Universal Studios because the new Harry Potter park had just opened. We stayed OFF-SITE (which I can only shake my head at myself now), and only did ONE park. So crazy seeing it from a travel agent lens now.

What I would have done differently with our budget 10 years ago- I would've done a cruise (which we did on our one year anniversary). That would've saved us money on food, car rental, lodging, etc. But of course, I wouldn't change it. It's fun to look back and realize how we made it happen even as newly wed kids.

I'd love to know, where did you go on your honeymoon and what you would've done differently!

: Did you know that checking in to cruises is a very crucial part; you verify you have your documents (passport, government ID, birth certificates), provide a security photo, etc. Some cruises allow you to do this 30 or 45 days prior to sailing, which I highly recommend NOT gathering your identification documents the night before! You can most certainly just go to port and check in at the kiosk, but doing it ahead of time expedites your embarkation. Who wouldn't want to start their vacation early?

: What a special surprise when I got my mail today. It's little things like this that makes me so happy and want to continue to get better.

I love being a part of an experience, whether it's big or small. Vacations aren't just vacations, it's ever lasting memories. You remember the FIRST time you saw the ocean and realized how small you were. You remember the FIRST time walking down Main Street smiling ear to ear. You remember the FIRST time you rode a crazy roller coaster and how that made you feel. You remember the FIRST time you and your family did a family reunion at a beach house.

To my Harry Potter fans who sent me this postcard, thank you. I look forward to many more experiences with you all.

: Did you know that Royal Caribbean can fit up to 5 guests (sometimes 6 guests) in ONE stateroom? Those rooms can sometimes be harder to get as a lot of families have more than two kiddos!

This family of 5 is going to have the best time on this Oasis Class Ship, Allure of the Seas. From zip lining across the Boardwalk, to a 40 foot surf simulator, to ice skating, to an amazing Aqua Show, they will most certainly NOT be bored.

: As an educator's wife, I tread with caution on this topic; I don't want to get called into the principal's office. However, as his secretary, I sometimes get to call the shots.

After posting the KID SAIL FREE promos, I come to realize everyone's dilemma: "Should we have the kids skip school for a vacation?" Great question, and here are some things to consider.

**Long weekends- I love it when the kids have a Monday/Friday off, that just means a LONG weekend weekend for everyone! Note that 3 day cruises are typically Friday - Monday, so this could totally work!

**Off Season Prices- piggy backing off long weekends, do note that Jan/Feb, April, Sept/Oct prices for some attractions are cheaper. So if you can find a long weekend during those months, you could potentially save a few $$$.

**Academic Standing- you know your child best and his/her academic standing. I personally wouldn't pull my children out in September as they are still learning the school routine/expectations. Ask for make up work if possible, avoid testing times if possible, and ultimately make it an educational vacation! I made my children math/reading packets for the plane ride and had them finish it before they were able to swim. ;)

At the end of the day, is it worth it? 100%! You just have to plan a little more to ensure your child is within school policy as well.

: Will you be in Orlando but don't want to do Disney or Universal (my heart breaks a bit writing this)? Well here's another option you might enjoy- a day at Discovery Cove!

You will feel like you're in a tropical land NOT in Florida, swim with dolphins* and sharks*, snorkel in a safe environment, and not have to worry about Breakfast and Lunch as it's included in your price! Wetsuits are available to all so you won't have to worry about the cooler months as well.

: My very first international booking was to Barcelona, Spain, and how fun was it to create their itinerary. Spain never crossed my mind as a place I wanted to visit until now!

Next year, my husband and I have the pleasure of chaperoning some students to Spain! It was hard having to turn my Travel Agent mind off and let someone else be in charge, but I of course did some research on my own! One of the cities we'll be in is Seville, the capital! Here are some beautiful places we'll be seeing during our time there.

**Royal Alcazar-a historic royal palace that requires a dress code to enter (good thing I researched this up). I mean, makes sense! Also, fun fact, did you know that Game of Thrones was filmed here?! Can't wait to see it in person!

**Plaza de Espana- another beautiful, historic landmark you must see in Seville. These details designed in this Spanish square were built as a symbolic peace with its former American colonies. You can rent a boat and sail through the canals and capture the most beautiful sceneries here.

**Flamenco Show- When in Seville, a flamenco show is a must! Originated in southern Spain, this intertwining of music and dance has so much history in every step and stomp! Perhaps we should take a dance class before we go so we can join in on the festivities!

**Tapas- what's a vacation without trying something new? Tapas are popular throughout Spain; festive appetizers that can be served hot or cold, big or small, there's something for everyone! Have you tried a common tapas dish before?

Needless to say, I'm super excited to visit this beautiful country next year. Let me know if you've been or want to go to Spain!
