: Happy Friday! I survived my first week with my husband returning back to work, luckily my mom is in town to help me. "Take What You Need Today" is definitely on my mind as I return to being a full time mom to four. From taking the kiddos to the bus stop on time to napping a toddler and newborn at the same time, to deciding the dreaded question of "what's for dinner..." it’s definitely no small feat.

: A frequent question asked is, "Do I need a passport to cruise or will a birth certificate be enough?"

Great question! In my humble opinion, a Passport is HIGHLY recommended. It's your GOLDEN ticket back to the U.S. should any emergency arise, lines are typically quicker as you disembark with a facial recognition vs standing in line, and it gives you a peace of mind should your itinerary change during your cruise.

However, do note that a birth certificate will suffice as well. For adults, you will need BOTH a birth certificate AND your government I.D. A birth certificate still works and the only pros I found for this form of documentation is that its cost efficient (you don't have to spend money on applying for a passport), as well as, if you're not a frequent traveler, there may not be an urgent need to apply for a passport.

: This is a frequent question I get when booking a Disney anything vacation. "Do I need a Magic band? What does it do? Is it worth it?"

All great questions! Here is my humble opinion- it's only worth it if:

1) You plan on doing Disney frequently! Note that the Magic Band + is the only band that can be used at Disney World, Disney Land, and on Disney Cruises! If these things are on your to-go list for awhile, then it's absolutely worth it!

2) Perks of having a Magic Band + is the convenience of tapping to purchase items/food/etc., the convenience of opening your stateroom door instead of a keycard, the convenience of not using your phone as a ticket and using your phone battery. You also get to interact with various attractions at theme parks using your Magic Band + as well!

3) Lightning Lane & Photo Pass: the Magic Band + is especially worth it if you plan on purchasing Lightning Lane or Photo Pass/Memory Maker! The convenience of tapping everything onto your account makes it super easy to get in line with your Lightning Lane purchase as well as taking a picture and having a cast member tap your band. Otherwise, they would give you a card that you would then have to link to your Disney Account, etc. etc.

4) Lastly, is it worth it? Yes! What a great little souvenir! You can pick from solid colors to limited edition designs! The best part, there are always on going promos; from when you purchase a Disney Package to random Disney Store promos, keep an eye out!

: If you haven't heard already, this is the year to double check your State Issued I.D.! Starting May 7th, 2025, you'll need your REAL I.D. to travel domestically within the U.S.

: I've been getting a LOT of questions about children pricing for cruises- and I get it. I have an 8 year old and now a newborn, what's the price difference between these two?

For starters, most cruise lines will have you pay full price for 2 adults before discounts kick in. For example, if I went by myself on a Royal Caribbean Cruise with 2 of my children, one of my kids will be charged as another adult before the "Kid Sail Free Promo" kicks in. Same thing with Disney+ Subscriber Promo.

**DISNEY- 13 years and older will pay slightly an increased price

**CARNIVAL- everyone pays the same cruise fare

**ROYAL CARIBBEAN- 12 years and under will only pay taxes and port fees during Kid Sail Free Promo. However if it's not during the promo, 3rd and 4th guests will pay a slightly different cruise fare.

: Are Character Dinings worth it? In my opinion...yes! But of course you're asking someone who enjoys Disney, wants character autographs, and is a breakfast lover. Do my husband and I joke about paying for the most expensive strawberries because that's the only thing my daughter ate? Yes. Do we joke about how we could have saved the money to get Mcds breakfast instead? Sometimes. But while in Rome...why not?

Most character dinings range from $35-$55 (per person) and some only have character debuts during breakfast.

I have some tricks and tips up my sleeve to not waste any time as these character dinings can take up a good chunk of the morning. Message me now if you're interested in sleeping in while I make reservations for you at the wee hours of your eligibility!

: Connecting rooms can be a pain to find, especially if your family is an odd number. A room that fits 2 guest cannot connect to a room with 3 guests- it's typically a 2-4 connection. Frustrating? Absolutely!

Let me help that frustration to find rooms near one another or a configuration that would best fit your family. There are rooms that fit up to 5 guests, however these rooms are often taken quickly.

Saefong Christmas 2023

: This time last year we were on our way to Orlando, Florida to spend our Christmas vacation at Disney World for a week! We still talk about this trip and how much we loved the parks as well as our "rest days," even though we still had the same amount of steps on our rest days.
