Join First Congregational UCC Andover Ohio on November 23rd!

We're excited to be part of this public tour organized by Author Sandy Mitchell Pavick. Come see our beautiful church on Saturday, Nov 23, from 10 am to 4 pm. First Congregational UCC was founded in 1832, over 190 years ago. Amen!

From our old church minutes: “December 10, 1832. A meeting was held at the house of Mr. Sheldon Nortons for the purpose of organizing a Congregational Church at the Center of Andover, consisting of members dismissed from a church in the west part of this town. Rev. Giles H. Cowles and Henry Cowles (of Austinburg) were present. The meeting was opened by prayer. After reading the letter of dismission and hearing the reason for organizing a new church at the center, it was upon the whole judged expedient to proceed to organize a new church. In the evening, a meeting was held at the house of Erastus Stillman, and a Confession of Faith, Covenant and Articles of Practice were agreed upon.”
