Thanks to all of you who made the time to meet back on the mountain top this weekend. There really is something special about coming back together this one weekend each fall to remind us of this shared experience and all that it means to each of us.

A lot of you who follow us here weren’t alive on September 11, 2001, so you don’t spend today thinking about where you were when you found out and all the feelings you had in the days following our country being attacked.

I hope we all find some time in our day to talk to others who do remember or at least read some first hand accounts from folks that day and look at pictures. So many of us knew first responders, people in the city, people in the towers, people traveling that day — and even if you didn’t have a connection to someone close to the tragedy that day, we were all affected.

I don’t know the best way to honor those who died that day and honor those who ran into danger to help that day, but I do feel like finding something good to do for someone else today is a good start. Be the good in someone’s life today.

May we never forget and always honor those lost and those who helped that day.

We’ve got a DUFFLE DEAL for you! My buddies @rootsoutdoornc have set up a link to pre order a duffle for the trip (or just your in general life if you aren’t going out west this summer). This is my favorite bag for traveling! You’ll see in the video why but the short version is it’s incredibly durable, can handle a little rain or morning dew if I leave it out, the shape is đŸ‘ŒđŸŒand those removable backpack straps are so helpful! And they stand behind their products! This deal is only available through the end of April. Then we will close the orders, the shop will make a group order and then ship them to you.
