Schönbrunn Palace Vienna Austria - This is one of Vienna’s most popular attractions and the actual property includes gardens, mazes, forests and Vienna's first zoo which is also recorded as being the oldest operating zoo in the world. 🐅🦏🦚🌺

It is also worth the climb up to the Gloriette on top of the hill overlooking Schönbrunn. This was built in 1775 to commemorate the Battle of Kolin in 1757 when Austrian troops defeated the Prussian army of Frederick the Great. 👍🙂👍

Wonders of Austria and Beyond is our page to share photos, information and tips from all over Europe. We are quite new to travelling in Europe, and have only been to a few places in Austria, Germany, Prague and Budapest, but that is all about to change now that we have discovered how much we loved the time we have spent there.
