Together, Fabian Vettiger and Jacqueline Stone at Africa’s Very Own, have been filming their independent stories through various avenues, and in so doing are constantly gaining more knowledge and experience collaborating in vast and varied projects, expanding their experience and repertoire with their innate passions, commitment and drive. About Fabian:
Fabian is Africa’s Very Own’s d
irector and cinematographer. For as long as he can recall, Fabian felt the desire to tell stories, and is passionate about people’s lives and the world around him. His route into film was traditional: After studying directing and cinematography at the prestigious South African film school AFDA, Fabian entered the industry as a freelancer and is slowly but surely moving his way up the ranks. Fabian loves looking at life through a lens and has photographed, written and directed a SELECTION of short films, commercials and music videos. His fascination for people, their personal circumstances and their points of view is evident through his images and the stories they tell, which are vivid and straight to the point. For Fabian, filmmaking and cinematography consumes him. It is a craft and an art form that he’s likely to spend a lifetime exploring and developing. His collaboration with producer Jacqueline Stone and the launch of their production company, Africa’s Very Own, marks the beginning of a new era. About Jacqueline:
Jacqueline is the Producer and creative at Africa's Very Own. Jacqueline has always been creative, having a passion for expressing hers, and the insights of others through art in its various forms. Her journey to production in film was as a result of availing herself to partake in a multiple series of events, experimenting in various creative fields before realizing her true passion and purpose in expression through film. After completing her studies in film set design and special effects make-up, Jacqueline began her venture into the industry as a make up artist. Over time she began to feel somewhat unfulfilled, working long and hard at becoming more involved in the process of filmmaking on a wider scale, and in the creative processes from styling, to production design but still wanting to do more. It was at this point that her collaboration with Director and Cinematographer Fabian Vettiger began.Ensuring she learned everything required of her to reach her goal of full time producing. Having had knowledge in the aesthetics and creative processes of production, accompanied by her hands-on experience together with her keen desire to learn and grow as a freelance producer and through her independent projects too, has well rounded Jacqueline, making her a vital and versatile element in the diverse areas of filmmaking in which she plays an intrinsic role.
