Congratulations Chief!!

We are proud to announce Chief Ken Klamar of the Sunset Beach Police has been named Region VI, Regional Director of the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police (NCACP). The NCACP was founded in 1976, to promote unity of action and high professional standards, and to enhance the exchanging of information and experiences among police officers. The NCACP has grown to become one of largest law enforcement associations in the state.

Chief Klamar was voted for and elected by his peers. North Carolina Secretary of State, Elaine F. Marshall, swore Chief Klamar in at the 2024 NCACP 48th Annual Conference. As a Regional Director, Chief Klamar will be part of the NCACP governing body representing Bladen, Columbus, Cumberland, Hoke, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, and Brunswick Counties. As a member of the Board of Directors, Chief Klamar will organize yearly training, attend legislative meetings in Raleigh and serve as the liaison between the association and the nine-county region. Chief Klamar also serves on the NCACP's Training Committee, and the NC Training and Standard's Basic Law Enforcement Advisory Board.
