Beloved, the Lord has shepherded us well through the year 2023.

Let your soul glory in Him.

It is not through our own doing that we are alive, that we are healthy, that we are hopeful.

Only by the power of God, we have come this far.

Let us therefore thank our God Almighty for all His doing in our lives.

Praise our Lord Jesus Christ.

I first went to Eastleigh in 2009 to look for Kings Collection bedsheets. I was tired of using the blue and pink ex high-school bedsheets.
There were No. 9 matatus that zoomed through people's kitchens and dropped you in Eastleigh, or just a few kilometers away depending on the mood of the deputy driver, in a matter of minutes.

Then there was No. 6 that was like flying to the Czech Republic using Ethiopian airlines. You even carried lunch and shaving kit.

After bargaining in several shops and the price remaining constant, I chose an orange pair of bedsheets.
My bed was a 4x6 that I had inherited from my Aunt. Together with the head board, it occupied 25% of my 10 x10 bed sitter.

The bed was too big and was not ideal for single people who were interested in marriage, but when I had a visitor I used to hide one pillow.

I still have the bed, plus the bedsheets, plus some of the visitors.
No. 9 and No. 6 matatus now look the same, black ugly and slow.

This story has no moral teaching.
