This weekend we are enjoying the Dutch Bulbfields and the Delights of Amsterdam staying at the lovely Fletcher Hotel in Zevenbergen. As expected from Sunshine Tours the sun has been shining all day today, the flowers were blooming beautifully and everyone has enjoyed their day.

Today has been Somme day on All Quiet On The Western Front. Visiting the fantastic Historial de la Grande Guerre at Peronne, Lochnagar Crater, the Ulster Tower for a picnic lunch, Newfoundland Park and finishing off at the impressive memorial to the missing at Thiepval.

This weekend we are on a battlefield tour, All Quiet On The Western Front.
Today we have visited the battlefields around Ypres. Starting at Ploegsteert, we then moved on to Messines, Sanctuary Wood Museum, Hooge Museum for lunch and a look at the reconstructed trenches, then Tyne Cot Cemetery, The Brooding Soldier memorial, Langemarck German Cemetery, finishing off in Ypres itself for the Last Post Ceremony.

Today we visited Dreilandenpunt, the place where the three countries meet, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. We took our group photo at the point where the borders meet.
Then we were off to the Imperial city of Aachen, Charlemagnes preferred city. Photos are of Charlemagne, his seal, the cathedral and the Rathaus.

Another beautiful day on our Delights of Valkenburg and the Rhine Valley for singles tour.
Today has been the Rhine valley day, free time in Boppard before the optional river cruise and lunch.
I stopped into St Severus Church in the town centre for a moment of quiet reflection, then made our way to meet up for the cruise. The temperature reached a balmy 20 degrees mid afternoon which was perfect for sunning ourselves and watching the river go by.
After Boppard we made our way over to the lovely town of Cochem on the Mosel. 2 Rivers two beautiful towns and lots of lovely castles

Today we have been out and about around the beautiful town of Valkenburg, Mick has been making friends with the locals as we have bimbled about, he found a new lady friend, joined in with a guided tour and gatecrashed a birthday party but he forgot his paper hat. We had a lovely tour around the Velvet Cave and castle ruins. The weather as expected for Mick and Heidi's Sunshine Tours has been lovely, getting up to 18 degrees by mid afternoon

So tomorrow sees the first tour of our season, Valkenberg and the Rhine Valley. We have located today to Plymouth to start our feeder tomorrow morning. Early to bed tonight as our first pick up is at 0250. Looking forward to meeting old friends and making new ones.
