No one thinks about the Dallasites who own and operate short-term rentals. Many of them are retirees who need the income to pay their property taxes or first-time entrepreneurs trying to make their way in the "sharing economy". Many of them have families to support and employees and their family to support.

On June 2023, the Dallas City Council passed ordinances to ban STRs from all residential areas and to impose draconian density limits on multi-family areas, effectively zoning 94% of us out of business. The Dallas Short Term Rental Alliance filed a suit on October 02, securing and winning an injunction on December 1st, allowing STRs to continue to operate at least until our hearing on June 3, 2024.
