We are open seven days a week in June!
Monday- Friday
from 12 PM - 4 pm

Our visitors always ask, "Do turtles have personalities?"

One look at Wulfenite, and you'll know- Yes! ❤️

Wulfenite is a juvenile green sea turtle that came in on March 17, 2023 after cold stunning and being bitten by a possible shark. "Wulfe" is doing very well and is enjoying their food in Sick Bay 🐢 You may even get to spot them on a tour!

All conservation work for endangered sea turtles at KBSTRRC and on Topsail Island is authorized by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, ES Permit 23ST05.

Meet one of our newest patients, Montana Ruby💕

Little Montana is a juvenile green sea turtle that cold stunned and was found on Cape Lookout on March 17, 2023. She is covered with small barnacles (like the one on her flipper!), but is active and eating lots of capelin! Montana Ruby was named as part of our 2023 gemstone theme and inspired by our KBSTRRC Fellow - Montana!
