Snap a photo at the official southernmost tip of Africa, where there is a stone plaque that marks the place – right on the beach. The Struisbaai sandy beach nearby is one of the longest in the country, curving away into the distance...perfect for walking, swimming, sun bathing and summer sports. The adventurous can go horse riding, or kite surf; paraglide from Agulhas mountain; or catch a charter company to take you deep sea fishing. For the fishermen amongst you this is paradise – fish from the rocks, the beach or the jetty. Get fresh fish at the harbour when the boats come in around 17h00 if you are not keen on catching your own. Take a hike in the national park or along the seaside boardwalk from the lighthouse.
