As we're full swing into the summer season and the 4th of July is upon us, please be ever cautious of our beach flag conditions. Strong rip currents along the Gulf coast have led to numerous rescues and sadly, several, avoidable deaths. NEVER enter the water on double red flags. The Sheriffs office is writing $500 citations if you do.

Here's a perfect example of how to spot a rip tide current. DO NOT enter the water in this "calm looking" area.

Be safe out ther and enjoy the summer.

Be careful out there. The water is beautiful but can be deceiving at times.

😳 Wow. Rip currents can be seen all over Pensacola Beach in this drone shot by Coastal Local on Monday. 🌊 93 people were pulled from rough surf by lifeguards over the weekend.
