🎃 Happy Halloween! Did you know Halloween began in Ireland? Before pumpkins, people carved spooky faces into turnips, creating the original Jack-o’-lanterns! 🕯️ Alongside these, barmbrack—a fruit-studded bread—became one of the most traditional Halloween foods. 🍞✨Hazelnuts and apples were also part of Halloween rituals, used in games and fortunes to predict the future. 🍏🥜

Guests often ask us where to enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast. Truth be told, we don’t usually opt for an Irish breakfast when eating out. However, we recently enjoyed Brother Hubbard’s take on the full Irish. We particularly loved the colcannon-style potato bread with whipped brown sauce butter. Recommended! 🥔🍞
