It’s September, which means it’s Childhood Cancer Awareness month. 🤍🎗️
I have a love hate relationship with September.
September is a month to raise awareness, to talk about Gus, and to hopefully bring about change. I’ll be honest though, it’s exhausting trying to get people to care on the same level as me. Trying to make enough noise to make a difference. It’s defeating at times.
I challenge you this month to do something. Attend a proclamation, start or donate to a fundraiser for a childhood cancer charity of your choice, donate your hair, put a sign in your yard, share posts on social media for the first time. Just do something.
Kids are worth it. Gus was worth it.
Go Gold this September.

Family spotlight ✨ Maeghan and her family celebrated Kiley’s golden birthday with a cruise last month!
They sailed on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and an amazing time! Here was one of Meaghans favorite things:
“The dolphin experience is something I highly suggest! Being VIP and going first thing in the morning made it even more perfect. No crowds or lines and we had access to the private infinity pool and bar upstairs.”

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs has officially opened and I am so excited! 🎉 I will be visiting Disney next week and can’t wait to try out this new place!
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is located on Disney’s Boardwalk and serves up fresh, made-to-order gourmet corn dogs, lemonade and cotton candy.

It’s national soft serve ice cream day!🍦
If you’ve followed this page for a while then you know that soft serve vanilla ice cream was one of Gus’ favorite treats in the world! He especially loved it from the Polynesian resort at Walt Disney World and from our home town Dairy Queen.
Getting ice cream with Gus will always hold a special place in my heart. When Gus was nearing the end of his life, he still asked to go to Dairy Queen for ice cream, sometimes multiple times of the day! Some of his last documented smiles are of him in the car with his ice cream.🤍
I know it’s just a food, but it’s a special one in our house. So today, we celebrate this silly little holiday, in honor of our son Gus.

The island is stunning, the Jamaicans are beyond friendly, and I had the best time with two of my coworkers!
This trip was a ‘good for my soul’ type trip and one that I won’t forget! 💚

September is childhood cancer awareness month and it’s quickly approaching!
I’ve created a storefront through Bonfire, where you can purchase T-shirts, coffee mugs or tote bags that help spread awareness about childhood cancer. The first batch of products will end this Sunday - so hopefully you’ll have everything by September!
I’ll extend the store until the end of August though - I just wanted to give everyone a chance to get products ordered and have them by September if they wanted!
All profits from the sales will go directly towards childhood cancer research in honor of our son, Augustus Britton. (I’ll keep a paper trail in case anyone wants to see it)
Gus fought childhood cancer (neuroblastoma) for 3.5 years. He defeated cancer and ran into the arms of Jesus on November 23, 2022. Everything we do, we do for him and other kids who are fighting this ugly disease 💚
Let’s turn our cities gold next month (and every month after) as we raise awareness about this nasty, devastating disease.

The Hill family had an amazing memory making vacation this past June! They sailed on the Disney Wish and had pre and post night stays at Walt Disney World! They went with friends - which made it that much sweeter!

“The live stage shows were fantastic! On the Disney Wish, we enjoyed Disney Seas The Adventure, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin!
The ship was pristine! I am still in awe of how the waste baskets in our stateroom were emptied multiple times a day. Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, was also a huge hit! We said goodbye to Genie + 🧞♂️on July 24 and hello to the newest system at Walt Disney World called Lighting Lane Multi Pass ⚡️
It’s a lot like the former FastPass + tiered system with a mix of some Genie + and as much as I’ll probably miss Genie + because I knew it like the back of my hand, I think I’m going to like having the new system in place. It’s for sure going to be a better guest experience in the end 😉
