CARNIVAL WELCOMES TWO MILLION GUESTS SINCE RESTART
As the first major U.S. cruise line with its full fleet back in guest service since the industry’s restart last summer, Carnival Cruise Line has now reached the milestone of welcoming two million guests. The company’s industry pace-setting restart began on July 3, 2021 when Carnival Vista set sail from Galveston and since then 22 additional ships have resumed service, from 13 U.S. homeports all while guests were helping to raise $2.25 million for partner, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Carnival will restart in its 14th homeport of New York City in June with Carnival Magic and has announced plans that Carnival Splendor will restart in Australia following its Alaska season with a three-day cruise departing Sydney on October 2, 2022. And in November, Carnival’s newest ship, Carnival Celebration, featuring a roller coaster and powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), will debut in Miami.
YOUTH PROGRAM UPDATE
We’ve updated our Have Fun. Be Safe. page to indicate that Carnival Youth Programs are now open for children and teens ages 5 to 17, vaccinated and unvaccinated (with an approved exemption).
• All youth must be registered to participate; registration should be completed pre-cruise.
• Once on board, families may view the Camp Ocean™ activity sessions for ages 5-11 and make reservations for their child via the HUB App.
• During some cruises, Camp Ocean capacity may be limited.
• Reservations are not required in Circle “C”® (ages 12-14) or Club 02® (ages 15-17).
• We are currently unable to accept children under five years old.
• Unvaccinated guests ages 5-17 who previously received a vaccine exemption will receive an email with this updated information.
CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE BREAKS GROUND ON NEW CRUISE PORT DESTINATION ON GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND
Carnival, in cooperation with the Grand Bahama Port Authority and the Government of The Bahamas, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new cruise port destination on Grand Bahama Island. The cruise pier will allow Grand Bahama to welcome guests from Carnival’s larger ships, such as the 5,282-passenger Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. Additional details on the design, features and the name of the cruise port destination will be revealed over the coming months as Carnival finalizes its plans to maximize the fun for their guests and the opportunities to partner with local businesses and other stakeholders.
CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE REOPENS WEDDING PROGRAM ACROSS FLEET
Love is in the air…and back at sea! Following the exciting news that its entire fleet is back in service, Carnival Cruise Line announced that it is now taking reservations for weddings and vow renewals on sailings starting September 2022 and beyond.
Carnival’s wedding and vow renewal offerings are expansive, giving guests the opportunity to make memories that last a lifetime with a ceremony as unique as the couple. With the help of Carnival’s dedicated team of trained wedding planners, guests can choose from ceremonies at sea aboard a Carnival ship; on embarkation day, allowing them to invite guests who are not sailing and can debark after the ceremony; and even at select port of call destinations.
