It’s been two weeks since our very first Mousekeplanner Conference, and I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude to and to thank her for creating such a wonderful event!

Over the three days, we ate so well (seriously, incredible food!!), laughed a lot, watched fireworks (my favorite!) from a special location, met new friends, and learned a ton about different vendors, social media, and each other. She has assembled a team of like-minded, fun, energetic, collaborative and kind people to support one another while doing what we love! It is a very special team of travel agents at ❤️ and I couldn’t be happier to belong to this group.

I didn’t capture as many photos of people as I normally would have (they don’t know me well enough to tolerate my gajillion selfies and photos, yet… 🤣), I will next year!

When traveling, I have started using stories to capture my day to day and in the moment activities - especially in the parks, where I am seemingly non-stop! 😂 And I will have more to share with you as time goes on. Did you know… that Walt Disney World has an entire department devoted to Lost and Found??? I didn’t! This Spanish fan was super helpful during the hot Florida days, until I accidentally left it at Fantasmic at the end of my 2nd park day. It was a souvenir from a trip to Spain 4 years ago, and although it didn’t cost a lot, it held sentimental value.

So I thought it can’t hurt to ask! When I inquired at the hotel front desk, they explained that at the end of each park day, all lost items are transported to Disney Springs and held there. They gave me a QR code to scan and fill out and within a couple of hours, I received an email that they had located my fan 💙 And it arrived today, a week and a day after I left it behind. Moral of the story? ALWAYS ask a cast member and maybe a little pixie dust will get sprinkled your way ✨

7. The Ship 🚢
For my final installment from our Disney Cruise Line adventure, let me tell you about the ship. The Magic is the first of five current Disney ships, and it is celebrating its 25th year as a vessel. It first set sail on July 30, 1998 - last century for all the young’uns 😉

The Disney Magic, and its sister ship the Wonder, are the two “smallest” ships. They hold approximately 2700 passengers and 950 crew. She is 984 feet long (about the same as the Eiffel Tower is tall) and 106 feet wide, with 11 decks. It is decorated in the style of Art Deco (lots of geometric shapes and lines) with plenty of the familiar “Disney whimsy” and “hidden Mickeys” 😉

Best tips and practices for booking.
✨Book early to save money. With current demand for ships, prices rarely go down once released, so best to choose your desired ship and location as soon as possible and submit your down payment of 20%. This gives you the flexibility to choose your desired stateroom and time to pay it off over time. If a deal that makes more sense for you comes up, we can rebook to the lower price.
✨Do your research! What is the ship’s itinerary? Is it visiting places you’ve never been? Do you want to visit Europe’s great ports? Have you always wanted to cruise to Alaska? Disney Cruise Line is more than just pirates in the Caribbean - with sailing options from 3-14 nights, there’s something for everyone.
✨ Decide your port - can you drive to NYC? Is a flight into Orlando or Miami easiest? Are you on the west coast and prefer San Diego? These are just a few things to take into consideration when choosing a Disney cruise.

6. Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island 🏝️

Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island, located in the Bahamas. Originally known as Gorda Cay, and founded in 1783, it was long ago used by pirates and smugglers. It was also used in the filming of both Splash 🧜🏻‍♀️ and Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl ☠️
Disney purchased a 99 year lease in 1997 to transform the island into what we see today. Only 55 of its 1000 acres have been developed, and its 140 inhabitants are employees who care for and maintain the island for Disney guests. The guest areas are tropical and beautiful with touches of Disney whimsy ✨

With two distinct sections, the island has a large family area with amenities for lunch (bbq style included), recreation (snorkeling, boating, biking, volleyball, etc), shopping, and fun in the ☀️

A quick tram ride away, you will find Serenity Bay - the adults only section of the island. It also has bbq facilities, a full service bar, and rental equipment for floating and biking. This is where we luxuriated for the majority of our day. It was also my most favorite part of our entire cruise and I will be back… who’s coming with me?? 😍
