באוקטובר, בד״כ בסוף השבוע השני של החודש, חוגגים מאות אלפי אנשים את הסאקה פסטיבל ב Saijo שבהירושימה . Saijio היא אחת משלוש יצרניות הסאקה הגדולות ביפן, למעלה מ-7 מבשלות גדולות כשהמפורסמת מכולן היא Kamazuru. המבשלה התפרסמה מאד כאשר הנשיא אובמה שהגיע לביקור ביפן, נהנה מהגולד אודישין של המבשלה .
המבקרים בפסטיבל יכולים להנות ממבחר עצום של למעלה מ -1,000 סוגים שונים של סאקה מכל רחבי יפן. מומלץ לנסות את המאכל המקומי ה Bishu Nabe, על בסיס סאקה כמובן, ירקות ועוף. בנוסף, תוכלו להנות ממבחר מטורף של מאכלי רחוב יפנים (פוד טראקס ומזנונים פרוסים בכל מקום), הופעות רחוב, ארועים, וסיורים במבשלות הסאקה המפורסמות ברחוב #sakagura.

Do you love sake? In October, usually during the second weekend of the month, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate the Sake Festival in Saijo, Hiroshima. Saijo is one of Japan's three major sake producers. Festival visitors can enjoy a selection of around 1,000 different types of sake from all over Japan. It is recommended to try the local dish, Bishu-Nabe, which is based on sake, vegetables, and chicken. You can also indulge in a wide variety of street food, live performances, events, and tours at the famous sake breweries along Sakagura Street.

Tonight at the Tanabata Festival we enjoyed a Kagura performance. Kagura dance is a traditional Japanese dance form performed during Shinto rituals and festivals. It combines music, dance, and storytelling to portray mythical themes and is considered a sacred art form in Japan.

Tanabata, also known as the star festival, is a traditional Japanese celebration. It commemorates the annual reunion of the two stars, Altair and Vega, which represent the prince Hikoboshi and princess Orihime. According to legend, they are separated by the Milky Way and can only meet on this day.
A common custom is to write Tanabata wishes on colorful paper strips called tanzaku and hang them on bamboo branches.

One of the traditional and enjoyable ways to eat Noodles 🍜 is Nagashi somen. Somen are delicious noodles, served cold in summer, great with a traditional Japanese sauce.
