PLEASE NOTE - BALIKBAYANS COMING FROM USA AND TRAVELLING ON A NON STOP FLIGHT TO THE MANILA, ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS IATF RESOLUTION NO. 91.

BALIKBAYANS DO NOT UNDERGO THE 14 DAYS QUARANTINE, AS LONG AS THEY TRAVEL ON NON STOP FLIGHT. ONCE NEGATIVE TEST IS RELEASED, THEY ARE FREE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER NON QUARANTINE HOTEL OR TO THEIR HOMES.

FOREIGN TRAVELERS (INCLUDING FILIPINOS NOT HOLDING FILIPINO PASSPORT) are PROHIBITED from entering the Philippines effective December 30, 2020, 12:01 AM until January 15, 2021, if they are coming from, or transiting through, the following countries/areas listed below; or who have been to the same places mentioned below within 14 days preceding arrival in the Philippines: -

This will potentially affect US travelers because unless you fly direct via a carrier that currently flies direct from here, you will be affected by the quarantine requirement (if you transit HK, Japan, Korea, which is mostly the case); and many carriers may start to cancel flights all over again. In support to the gradual restart of domestic leisure travel in the Philippines, we will be operating flights from Manila to destinations opened for tourists namely Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Siargao and Coron. Flights from Cebu will also be available to select destinations. We will also be increasing our flights to daily from Dubai to Manila starting December 14, and will be restarting operations from Manila to Taipei starting December 18.

Ang ganda ng bagong Airport ng Tacloban




TACLOBAN, HERE WE COME!

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director General Jim Sydiongco, along with other DOTr officials, inspected the progress of the TACLOBAN AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT earlier today, 28 November 2020.

During a meeting with the contractor, it was disclosed that the original contract duration for the construction of the new Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) of the Tacloban Airport is 540 calendar days, which means it will only become operational by the 2nd quarter of 2022.

HOWEVER, knowing that the project is of prime importance to the citizens of Leyte and nearby regions, Secretary Tugade directed the contractor to reduce the contract duration to 270 days, through the implementation of 24/7 work schedule. The contractor agreed and committed to submit a revised implementation and catch up plan to CAAP by next week.

ALL airport passengers MUST download and register an account in the TRAZE Contact Tracing App beginning 28 November 2020, prior entering the airport.

How to register? Just these simple steps:

• Download the TRAZE App from your mobile store and install it on your phone
• Open the app and click the “Register” button below. Register as “Individual.”
• Just follow the instructions indicated in the app and input the needed information
• Activate your account

Meanwhile, for passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget, they may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport where they will be provided assistance in getting a unique QR code. Or, they may likewise ask a family member to register them with the app.

The QR code can be used at any DOTr Office nationwide.

TRAZE, a nationwide and unified contact tracing app is co-developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc., which enables the government’s contact tracing efforts to be strengthened and be more efficient.

With TRAZE, the contact tracing process can now be done in just a few minutes, unlike the usual and manual process. Not only that—you can also be assured that your data is safe and secured, as the app fully complies with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) or Republic Act No. 10173. Further, it does not use bluetooth or GPS, and it works well even with slow mobile data and WiFi!
