Kirkley has always had a High Street full of shops, though it has traditionally been referred to as London Road South by the locals. However, Kirkley is on the rise. Once a very deprived area, it is now growing into a lovely community, and our High Street is no exception. Like any area, we still have our challenges, but overall, things are definitely looking up.

Went into one of our new shops in Kirkley High Street yesterday and came out with this beautiful hand bracelet, the shop is called Coco Pretty Things and is opposite Waterloo Road. I cannot wait to wear it to my nieces wedding in a couple of weeks time.

Another exciting shop is to hit the High Street in Kirkley, just off the main thoroughfare in Waterloo Road, opposite Well Well Well the Bath House.

It is going to be a fishing tackle shop, which I think is a great addition to Kirkley with it being so close to Lowestoft Beach. Visitkirkley.Com would like to wish them every success with their new venture.

The guys only picked the keys up today and are hoping to be open within a week. We will keep you informed of their progress and when they will be opening ext.

Although aimed at tourists, it offers valuable information for locals too, such as details about Kirkley High Street with over 100 shops and services, please check their opening hours though, either on our website or on their pages.

The site also features upcoming events, historical facts, and a photo gallery showcasing Kirkley, with many photos taken by talented amateur photographers in our area, your photos will be accredited to you when posted.

The second shop, Broadland Home Interiors, will be opening tomorrow, Monday, July 1st. This store specializes in curtains, blinds, shutters, accessories, and soft furnishings. It is located at 164 London Road South, almost directly opposite our first new shop, CoCo Pretty Things.
