Our first long international trip since March 2020. Long awaited trip to Israel, Egypt and Jordan with Viking River Cruises. It was amazing!
Attending Virtuoso Travel Week, meeting reps around the world within the luxury travel market.
11 months after our canceled trip we finally returned to Maui. So good to be back ❤️
On Feb 26, a group left various US airports to Buenos Aires for what was supposed to be a 18 day land/cruise adventure around the Horn. Well that 18 day trip turned into a 33 day trip! And there is no denying it was an adventure to be remembered. We were denied disembarkation in Chile and after days of negotiation it was determined that our best option was to sail from Chile to San Diego.
We were in our cruise bubble. No quarantine, everyone healthy but no country wanted us. We ate, drank, danced and partied like nothing had changed in the world. But alas all we returned today to empty airports and streets. Thank you to my fellow travelers and to Celebrity and their crew, we will meet again soon!
Moorea and Tahiti. Despite being rainy season we had exceptional weather. If you love the water and outdoor activities, Moorea is the place! So quiet and relaxing, a place to unwind. Yes it is a bit more difficult to get there and a bit more expensive than Hawaii in terms of food and lodging but I think it is worth the visit!!
All good things must come to an end. One of my favorite trips of all time! A safari at the Bayethe luxury tent cabins at Shamwari plus a stay in Cape Town and a short visit to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Everything was just amazing from the wine and food, to the sincere and kind people, to the animals!! The animals put on a show for us. We were spoiled!
US inaugural of the NCL Joy. Beautiful ship, great entertainment. A great choice for an Alaska cruise for families.
Japan-I'm asked all the time about my favorite country. While every place I visit has positives, I have to say Japan holds a special place in my heart. It's the people. So respectful and kind. We all had a great time and the food was amazing! Almost forgot, equally memorable and enjoyable were Toto toilets!! I will miss them.
Greece and Amalfi cruise on the beautiful Celebrity Edge?? I have great pricing on a 11 night sailing in October. Thousands off published fare. Includes booze package, free gratuities and on board credit. Only 2 veranda cabins left at this special pricing. Message me if interested.
Good times on the Carnival Inspiration with friends and family. Halloween is a always fun on a cruise for kids and adults alike! And you can't go wrong with Hussong's in Ensenada!
We ended the cruise with Passau and then drove to Prague. Loved Prague! Great energy. I wished we spent more time there.
Off to Linz and Cesky krumlov. I would like to return to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, very charming old town.
Off to Durnstein. This small town is famous as the place where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Later we visited Melk Abbey (no photography inside). Jim decided to spend the day on the ship cruising the valley. He was very happy with his decision as his views were beautiful.
Our ship spent the night in Vienna and in the morning we visited Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer palace of the Hapsburgs monarchs. This place is huge! Later we cruise the the beautiful Wachau Valley.
In Budapest we boarded the lovely Ama Serena for our weeklong Danube cruise towards Prague. AMA Waterways is a fantastic choice. Nearly all inclusive, great staff (the best cruise director I have ever met). What a great way to see Europe! Our first stop was Vienna, Jim and I went off on our own and had prearranged tickets to the Spanish Riding School. Unfortunately you cannot take pics of the horses, but they were beautiful.
From Romania, we flew to meet the rest of our group in Budapest. Gorgeous city, great food. We visited a famous spa and experienced their spa culture "rules". Apparently a bathing cap is required in one of their pools. Tina Taylor and I could not rent one so we wore shoe covers on our heads. We are classy and did not stand out at all. Ha!
One of our side trips in Transylvania was to a Roma (gypsy) home. This particular family supported themselves through coppersmith. The women in the family sold their dresses. While this family seemed successful our guide informed us that the gypsy girls rarely go to school past the 4th grade, marrying very young. Virtually these young women are trapped into the Gypsy lifestyle as they have no skills or means to leave their family unit.
Our group had a fantastic European vacation. We started in Bucharest Romania and then had a 4 day stay in Transylvania. Romania is such a bargain! Lodging and food is very reasonable. Transylvania countryside is gorgeous. I highly recommend a visit. Just to think that this country was under communist rule less than 30 years ago. Believe me, the people we met value the freedom they have today.
Just returned from sailing on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas. A mega ship that can carry over 6000 passengers. We sailed to Labadee Haiti, Cozumel and Falmouth Jamaica.
Maui Style 2018
Then off to the Riviera Maya, where we were hosted by 3 hotels. I selected these 3 resorts based on their beach. I love a good beach! Our first stops was Secrets Akumal, very quiet, great snorkeling and a beautiful resort.
I just returned home from Fantasy Fest in Key West. Key West is up an running, despite some lingering hurricane damage. Always a fun place to visit!
We've been waiting for this for years! Southwest Airlines will be going to Hawaii in 2018! No routes or dates have been announced yet. But I will post when they do.

People wonder "Why use a travel agent, I can book online" Well Hurricane Irma has been a perfect example. I have clients sailing on a Caribbean cruise right now. What originated as a 6 day cruise has changed to a 9 day cruise with still no exact time of disembarkation. I have been in constant contact with the cruise line as well as the airlines. Flights have been canceled for their returned a couple times and I have been on the phone rescheduling so they can continue enjoying their trip. Do you think Expedia or Costco would do this for you? I think not.
