For context, the H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S. companies to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations requiring theoretical or technical expertise.

Eligibility Criteria

Occupations
* Typical fields include IT, engineering, mathematics, science, finance, architecture, healthcare, and education.

Educational Qualification
* A bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent foreign degree) in the specific field related to the job.
* If no degree, relevant work experience may substitute (usually 3 years of experience is considered equivalent to 1 year of education).

If you meet the above criterium, the next step is:

As an international student or temporary foreign worker, ensure your documentation is up-to-date by keeping records of the expiry dates on your essential documents such as
- study permit
- work permit
- international passport
- entry visa
- provincial health card
- driver’s license

It is important to have knowledge about the expiration dates so that
- you can plan in advance to renew it (especially if you’re planning a new travelling for the holidays)
- you don’t find yourself becoming inadmissible and breaking the terms of your permit.

Remember, it is your duty to abide by the regulations and “I didn’t know “ is not an excuse.

For those planning to come to the UK 🇬🇧 with TOURIST VISA and then stay back and work or marry.

I just want to tell you that it is not worth it
You will suffer, and u will never get that paper

Even if you happen to find a job or a spouse, u will need to go back to ur country and apply for the right visa, and woe betide you ,you have over stayed on ur tourist visa, you will be denied .

So, use that fund u are about to waste and plan for other countries .

Remember, as a visitor in the UK 🇬🇧, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO :
Work
Rent an apartment
Drive a car after a year
Open a bank account
Go to school
Access any public fund
Imagine not being able to do all these. How do you intend to survive

💡 Marriage is just the start of the process.
Your Canadian spouse must sponsor you under the Family Class Sponsorship program to gain PR. This involves a detailed application process and proof that the relationship is genuine.

💡 The government thoroughly verifies relationships.
IRCC checks for evidence like photos, communication records, and shared finances. Even with a marriage certificate, they won’t approve PR if the relationship looks suspicious.

💡 PR isn’t immediate or guaranteed.
The application can take months or even a year to process, and being married doesn’t fast-track your PR. In some cases, PR comes with conditions, such as living together for a specific period.

💡 It’s not the same as citizenship.
Even if you get PR, you must meet specific residency requirements before applying for Canadian citizenship.
