PGWP will be extended if yours have expired or is expiring soon.

Starting today, international graduates with a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) that expires between September 20, 2021, and December 31, 2023, can opt in for an extended work permit, or apply for a new one, to stay in Canada for up to 18 months longer: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/post-graduation-work-permit-holders.html

International Students: we are temporarily lifting the 20-hour-per-week cap on the number of hours that students in Canada are allowed to work off-campus while class is in session: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2022/10/international-students-to-help-address-canadas-labour-shortage.html

Starting November 15 2022, until December 31 2023, if you’re an international student and have a study permit with off-campus work authorization, there will no longer be any limit on the hours you can work.

You can benefit from this change if:
✔️ your study permit has already been issued
✔️ your study permit has been approved but you have not arrived in Canada yet
✔️ you submitted a study permit application before October 7, 2022, and are awaiting approval
