About Us…

My husband and I grew up on farms in North and South Dakota. We met a few years after our careers started and took our first trip to Belize in 2009. We immediately fell in love with the charming island of Ambergris Caye as well as the Belizean hospitality. In 2010, we celebrated a beautiful Belize destination wedding with family and friends!

The welcoming Belizean culture is truly genuine and unlike any other we have encountered elsewhere in our travels. The small town island atmosphere quickly felt like home. We enjoy that the official language in Belize is English, the US dollar is readily accepted and the country is not commercialized. You will find delicious local cuisine and several small shops throughout the island and quaint town of San Pedro.

We first purchased a condo at Grand Caribe in 2011. In 2018, we had the opportunity to move into a new 2 Bed/2.5 Bath Oceanfront Deluxe condo in the newest and most requested building at Grand Caribe Belize! Watching the sunrise on our private Oceanfront patio with breathtaking third floor views is our utmost favorite! In 2019, we purchased a 1 Bed/1 Bath condo as well as a 2 Bed/2 Bath condo across the road at Sunset Caribe Belize. These condos are on the top floor with spectacular sunset views! Sunset Caribe Resort has not disappointed and is a great addition to the Caribeville community!
