I try not to talk a lot about race or privilege, but I have observed something at the airport I work at. Every day that I walk on the concourse I don’t see many African American people, the only ones I see are employees and not higher management. I get a lot of people asking me how they can travel more and I thought I should tell you what I tell them. What is the perfect amount of time to travel? Some say a week so they can take in everything the destination has to offer. Other say five days is a perfect amount of time.
