Thanks to I was able to replace my old broken 3 wt with a brand new Redington Classic Trout and get into some fish in between snow storms. You guys were right, it is a sweet rod. It's awesome to have a cool local fly shop less than 20 minutes from my place in Madison and they have way more than just musky stuff!

Just a handful of stuff captured today. Mostly rough fish which we love. Wind was whippin' on the river but we still managed to pull some out along with a couple little inland lakes.
It was about it time we targeted some big cats. Not a monster, but definitely biggest one this year, hands down. Using cut bait, bottom rig, and a BIG ASS CIRCLE HOOK. Classic.
Fishing a small lake in Northern Wisconsin and the grind was real, crappy weather the first couple days and nothing but a few small bluegills to show for it on a beautiful day. Getting ready to paddle back to the car, I threw out a line to troll across the lake. Managed to make up for it by catching this solid pike and his slightly smaller sibling five minutes later. I love catching pike
Terrible nighttime picture, but bowfin were munching tonight. I like to set goals for myself for every fishing season and since it's been a long time since I caught a bowfin, I decided to add them to the list. Caught two so far today, even without targeting them specifically. Such a cool, ancient fish and just another example of how healthy the Wisconsin River is. Put a nightcrawler on the bottom and you never know what you're going to catch!
Even if we don’t catch a memorable fish, it’s always amazing to see the beauty in nature.
No Filter needed on these little native Brook Trout. Someone gave me a little tip on where to “Find the prettiest bookies in Wisconsin”. I’d say they were right.
Driftless streams are alive with the sight of hatching midges and rising trout! Beautiful day on a beautiful stream with the first trout of 2021. Three pretty little browns all ate a size 18 Griffith's Gnat. Feels good to shake the rust off the fly rod!
Got it done on a Lake Michigan tributary last week for his first Coho, a nice kyped-out male. Fun fight put new gear to the test, which passed with flying colors
Recent rains didn't do too much to color up these clear Driftless streams. Two browns on the dropper part of a Hopper dropper rig made for a nice way to kill a couple hours midday.
Decent post-spawn bucketmouth crushed a whopper plopped on a local lake in South-Central Wisconsin
Soooo, Great Lakes Smallmouth fishing is pretty wild. Huge shoutout to for getting us on the fish, and the great times. Went to an urban pond after work to kill some time and found some pre-spawn bluegill action. A simple Elk Hair Caddis was the ticket to consistent action with a really good average size. If there's a better way to catch panfish than a fly rod, we don't know what it is!

We tried taking the yaks out today in 20 mph wind did not go as planned so we managed to get down on a river and tip a few back and pull a few in. Joe with this little Goldie. Dont worry we maintained 6 ft. Distance

with his second biggest sturgeon! This 47in was caught on the Lower Wisconsin River. We had this beauty in and out of the water the shortest time possible for a measure and a quick picture to ensure a safe/healthy release. Sturgeon is out of season, so therefor cannot be targeted. with the video work, with the land assist. Video to come!
What a beautiful day on the river. with his 2nd biggest Sturgeon at 54 inches! Every time we catch one of these, we are utterly In awe of the power, and age of these prehistoric fish. This fish was in and out of the water for under a minute. Quick picture, and a healthy release.
Another one of those rare, small Wisconsin stream ‘bows over 18”. Catching one of these on a 3 weight, feels like a salmon on an 8 weight! Incredible feeling, huge rush.
Practicing social distancing by spending time in neeeture, greg took a wrong step and found himself knee deep in some mud. But it was all worth it for this trip.
