COMET CLUB FREE/GRECO/HS NAT"S MEETING THIS TUESDAY (3/6) AFTER SCHOOL: I am gonna try to use a Health classroom by the gym, listen to morning announcements for details.
We will go over:
*Grade Requirements (no E's to participate)
*Tourney Dates and
*Goals for the off-season.

Last weekend Granby came from behind in the finals to win the 2012 Eastern District Tournament. This weekend is the Eastern Regional Tournament held Oscar Smith High School. Come out and support the team!

Granby just wrestled the final dual of the season today. The Comets beat Norview in a very competitive match 39-35, and we are now the 2011-2012 Eastern District Regular Season Champs! The Eastern District Individual Tournament will be held next Saturday February 4th at Lake Taylor High School, come out and support the team.

Granby Placed 5th at the Mayhem in Millbrook Tournament this weekend. Placers include: Matt Eagle (1st), Codie Martin aand Sharrod Ryland (2nd), Aaron Weaver Cooper, Chris Burns, Quinton Brown and D'Andre Miller (6th). Good Work Guys!

First day of official practice November 7th. Please make sure your physical and concussion vid/form ( viewed and signed by parental guardian) are to me by the first practice...wrestlers will not be able to participate in practice until I have the above mentioned paper work.

Parents: You will have to view the NPS concussion vid in order for your child to start in-season practices on November 7th. We will be showing the 10 minute video several times during Tuesday and Thursday practice (6pm-8pm) next week.

This coming Tuesday (Oct. 25th) @ 6pm a USA Wrestling Official is coming to give Granby Wrestlers a rules clinic. Make sure everyone comes to this, very important. Junior Greco Tournament Update: Evan lost to the PA State Greco and Free Champ in a 0-1, 0-2 Match. The Freestyle Tournament starts Wednesday.

Granby 2011 Off-Season: Evan Stephens (5th) and Chris Ortiz (8th) both made All-American Honors at the NHSCAA High School Nationals held in Virginia Beach.
At the Cadet and Junior Freestyle/Greco Tournament, Granby qualified 11 wrestlers for the National Team. As of now, 5 will be making the trip to Nationals in Fargo.
