Hi friends! I know I’ve been pretty MIA these last few months, but I’m slowly coming back 🥳

As most of you know, my mom was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (brain cancer) in February, and helping to take care of her & figure out insurance claims has pretty much become another full time job for me. Due to that, being a travel agent has kind of fallen to the side.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out in support for my family, and a huge thank you to the few clients I have taken on this year for being so understanding as I may not have been on my A-game with everything going on. You all mean the world to me! 🫶🏻

We’ve created a bucket list full of local & out of town experiences to enjoy before Mom’s story comes to an end, so stick around if you want to see us check those off! First one was seeing the vs. in Cincinnati, which we did last night, and WE WON! Consider bucket list item #1 COMPLETE 🥳🎉⚾️

Having a BLAST in Disney, even though we were only here for one night! ✨

If you want to experience the adventure that is a Walt Disney World vacation, let’s talk! WDW is now booking through October 2025! 🤯 We usually have to wait until the summer for the next year’s bookings to open up.

$200 is all it takes to secure your spot - and if we’ve learned anything from girl math, by the time you travel in 2025, it’s basically free if you start paying for it now. 😉

I just got paid for a trip from May. 🗣️ Let me repeat that: 𝐈 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐀𝐘.

Being a travel agent isn’t always glamorous. It’s not always hosted visits to new destinations & big paychecks. The reality is that we are not paid to research, plan, or quote your trips. 💸

I get paid a small commission out of the trip total by the vendor roughly 𝟔𝟎-𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄. Sometimes those commissions get lost & we have to do the runaround of trying to find it. Was the check sent? Was it cashed? Was the confirmation number submitted incorrectly? Did I spell my own name wrong? 🤷🏻‍♀️ (It happens)

I felt so much relief in finally seeing that commission on my monthly statement. I almost gave up on getting it, but that paycheck arrived just in time to pay for Dolly’s senior wellness exam at the vet & for that I’m grateful. 🐱👏🏼

This is why you should use a travel agent. 🙋🏻‍♀️

That commission? 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨. Especially one that’s coming seven months late. 😅

After five wonderful Disney days full of trainings, meetings, workshops, park hopping, team celebrations, making connections, and more, I’m heading home feeling so excited for this next year with .

Last year, I left retreat with zero pending vacation requests from clients… this year, I’ve got six to work on. I can’t wait to dive in & turn their dreams into reality 🫶🏼

2024 is our year. I can feel it. To the future ✈️

First official day of the retreat!✨

This morning, we had several fun activities including our Regional Pep Rally, where I got to meet a handful of other agents from my area. There’s a whole group representing the Buckeye state! ❤️

Next up was our press conference where we learned about various updates coming out soon that will help make our processes as agents simpler & more effective - so excited for this!!

Last up this morning was our vendor expo. I got to personally say hello & interact with OVER FIFTY different travel vendors. 🤩 Making these connections is one of my favorite parts of this job & it helps make sure that I can take the best possible care of my clients! 👏🏼

Now it’s time to head back to the hotel to get ready for our opening night ceremony! So excited to put on a fancy dress & dance the night away. 💃🏻

Hi pals 👋🏼 it’s finally retreat weekend!

Today kicked off with Universal Studios in the morning & tonight we’ll be hanging out with our Carnival Cruise Line reps! 🛳️

For now, I’m back at the resort for a much needed mid-day nap. It’s been a crazy week leading up to this event, but I’m glad to be here. Lots of exciting things are happening over the next few days & I cannot wait 👏🏼

It’s almost time to be heading back to my favorite place! The countdown enters SINGLE DIGITS tomorrow! 🥳

If you know me, you know that I am notorious for being a last minute packer… like plane takes off in four hours & I’m still not done 🫣 but since this is a work trip, there are several different dress codes for each day & I want to make sure I don’t forget anything, so I made my list & I’m starting to get packed little by little. 🧳

BUT I am who I am & I will probably still end up scrambling… so I’m bound to forget something 🤦🏻‍♀️

🎉 EXTRA EXTRA, read all about it! 🎉

As I sit here on my 30th birthday with another year coming to an end, I just want to say how thankful I am. I may not have a ton of clients, but each one I do have is so special to me & I’m honored that they’ve trusted me with helping them make memories.

This year, I helped my clients visit Walt Disney World, Punta Cana, Riviera Nayarit, Las Vegas, New York City, Key Largo, Venice & the Dolomite Mountains. Some of these may not seem like the most exciting destinations, but they are memorable nonetheless.

Whether it was reconnecting with a high school friend to book their honeymoon, or helping a coworker plan an unforgettable trip to NYC before they unexpectedly began battling cancer (they are kicking cancer’s ass, by the way 👏🏼) or sending a sweet family member on their first big trip after having their first kiddo, I am beyond grateful to be part of all my clients’ big & small moments.

I may have only booked $32k in travel this year, but it’s not about the numbers for me. It’s about the moments created before, during, and after your trip. Thank you for letting me share your moments 🩵 I can’t wait to see what memories are made in 2024!
