Did you know there are only 52 weekends in a year? I’ve chosen to dedicate up to 30 of them to weddings—and here’s why. Creating exceptional wedding cakes takes time, focus, and balance—not just for the artistry itself, but for living a life that inspires it. This balance allows me to deliver the craftsmanship and attention to detail my couples deserve, while also preserving time for my family and life beyond weddings.

Setting a starting price for commissions isn’t just about pricing—it’s about ensuring the quality of my work remains exceptional. Without it, I’d have to take on more weddings, which would compromise both the artistry and care I put into every cake. That’s not the experience I want to provide.

For my fellow bakers: setting minimums isn’t a limitation—it’s a way to honor your time, your talent, and your clients. If you’re burnt out, you’re no good to your clients—or yourself. Minimums help you create a sustainable business that protects your well-being, aligns with your goals, and ensures you can provide the level of service your clients deserve.

The past two days with incredible classmates have been all about learning, growing, and discovering new techniques (along with LOTS OF LAUGHTER). Whether it’s fear of failure, scarcity, or not being “enough,” you’ve already proven you can rise above it. You’re still here, moving forward, dreaming big. That’s strength.

You are worthy of abundance.
Joy, peace, and financial freedom are not selfish. You deserve it. Let’s stop feeling guilty for wanting more. Let’s celebrate what we’ve earned—and honor what’s yet to come.

Your voice matters.
Whether you’re creating, teaching, or simply showing up, you’re making an impact. Someone is watching you and feeling inspired. Don’t underestimate the light you bring to others.
