ISO: Travelers who desire service, relationships, and supporting a person instead of large corporations.

Hospitality is a relationship industry! Did you know that in most cases the travel advisor’s commission is factored into the rate whether you use one or not? When you book with a third party (Hotels, Bookings, Expedia, etc. DOT COMs) you’re paying commission to an engine that is simply used to fill rooms. There is no service provided otherwise. There is not a person there to assist, to advocate for you if something should go wrong.

Often TA’s can match the price, and if not, most of the time the difference is negligible. Book through one of these OTA’s or Airbnb, there is nothing we can do to help you.

Find a TA who specializes in, or has relationships with the places you want to travel to, and partner with them to book your accommodations!

What do you mean a relationship industry?
We meet with sales managers and do personal site visits all the time. Every time I’m in NYC my schedule is full. I’m building relationships with properties, my clients receive extra attention, and extra perks! I VIP every client with the hotel! Taking your daughter to NYC for her birthday? They know this, and will have a Happy Birthday banner, and cookies or some other special something in the room to help make the occasion special! It’s the little things!
OTA’s dont do this! They don’t know the Sales Team, the GM, the concierge!

Here is the tier of who is most cared for at a hotel:

1) Top priority goes to guests of TA’s and those booked directly with property. First to be upgraded, get the best rooms, welcome amenities, etc.

2) Then those booking with membership programs.

3) Last OTA’s/Third party agencies (Booking, Expedia, Hotels, etc.)

After speaking, in person, with many many sales managers of properties all over NYC, etc. Guests who use OTA’s/Third Parties to book will always be the first to be bumped if the hotel is oversold, they will be the last considered for any upgrades or special services.

If you’re looking for service, or for your money to support a person, use a Travel Advisor!
