It was such a pleasure to meet this wonderful family! I loved photographing early morning to avoid the photo crowds (7:30 - would you be willing to go that early? Blessy says they are all morning people, which I am very envious of because I think “ early to bed, early to rise” is such a healthy way to live your life! Actually doing it is harder to accomplish! But I am truly blessed to have made a connection with such great people!

Holy smokes these two set fire to Snow Canyon! This is my gorgeous niece Kamryn and her fiancé, Brandon. Asking me to do their photos in St. George, Utah was a dream come true for me! I’ve been wanting to shoot there since I did a wedding there several years ago. Snow Canyon was stunning. And even though they were so hot, the weather was quite chilly! 😆

Sarah and Eric just gave birth to a beautiful, perfect little baby boy!!! At this session, they were soooooo excited to welcome him into their family as their very first addition. I absolutely love working with these two. They are kind, down to earth, fun to be with, and grateful humans. I was able to photograph their wedding a few years ago, too! This time, they requested an out of norm edit from me, and I was happy to oblige! I just loved how these came out. They are so dreamy. 😍

It is NOT a Mortensen family photo shoot without FUN! They really know how to make things exciting and have a good time! I love these people! Just last year they had three of the four kids living at home. Now, two are in college at BYU and one is on a two year LDS mission in Mexico! Do you think the youngest is eating up all the attention he must get getting from Mom and Dad, or do you think he is bored to tears?

Man, kids coming out of high school these days are so much more impressive than my generation was! Ok, maybe I’m just comparing myself. Ha! Cannon is yet another incredible kid, involved in soooo much, and graduating with top notch grades! It was so fun photographing him. His people skills are also pretty amazing! Kim is one of my very best friends! We met at the end of our senior year of high school, then were roommates for three years in college! She was the most social butterfly friend I had ever had. She was so energetic, kind, and so fun to be with and talk to. She taught me that you can eat an entire box of lucky charms in one sitting, run ten miles in 10 degree weather then do an aerobic class right after, stay up til the wee hours of the morning and still get decent grades, and enjoy life to its fullest! She is a friend to everyone and treats everyone with love and respect.
Kim met her now husband Scott, when we were roommates. They got married a couple years before me, and they would have me over for evening chats about my life and things I was going through. They were so supportive and loving toward me. That’s something I’ll never forget. They are an incredible couple, and are both just such wonderful friends.
