Discovering the Enchanting Hidden Beauty of Tinago Falls---a spectacular cascade tucked away in a gorge in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, is not only a stunning tourist attraction but also a water source for the area's population. "Tinago," a Filipino term that meaning "hidden," is the inspiration for the name, which aptly describes the area, which is only accessible by descending 500 steps.
This 240-foot-high waterfall is surrounded by massive granite formations, lush forests of trees, and natural vegetation. Similar to Palawan's jaw-dropping lagoons, it has a gorgeous blue-green pool of cool water that is great for swimming. The water comes from the man-made Lanao Lake's discharge, which flows into the Agus River, which divides into two channels before spilling into the sea.

Gali Balugto, a Talaandig friend, is hanging out in one of the trees in this photo, connecting with the natural world around him. This hike, which includes Mt. Kitanglad and is generally done as a two-night crossing, is difficult. You'll be exhausted, and it'll be VERY COLD. I've summited Mt. Kitanglad, but have yet to complete the traverse and discover this mossy forest...

The dew that the shrubs had accumulated throughout the night remains wrapped in the leaves' exquisite embrace when you take a visit in this sea of clouds. While time appeared to stop still for these droplets, you can race to the top of the hill as quickly as you could in the hopes of seeing the sunrise. Broke through the fog that coated the trees and carefully walked to the top, trying not to foot in the crimson muck, you'll end up gathering your breaths, your shoes caked in muck, and your eyes feast on the divine spectacle unfolding before you.
