We are looking forward to welcoming back the lovely Aoife to The Old Cafe, this time she is staying in our original gite and bringing along extended family to enjoy our 2nd onsite gite. Hope they enjoy Burgundy in June.

Just looking back over the last couple of years here at The Old Cafe and came across these piccies, the lovely Carla and her family visited us all the way from America. She was looking for somewhere to combine her holiday with a family reunion and photo shoot for her wedding business which happened to coincide with her wedding anniversary, the whole family were a delight and are now living their dream Paris

Our 2020 calendar is now open, no increase on 2019 prices. We are opening the original part of The Old Cafe next season which will sleep upto 8 people in 4 bedrooms. The Old Cafe family gite has been open for several years, we have now decided to renovate the original part of the cafe which served the village for many years and fell into disrepair when it shut down. So new for 2019 our couples retreat will be open, our focus will be on luxury breaks offering the best that Burgundy has to offer. The World's most amazing "gite", in the middle of Burgundy, a few miles from chablis. Julie has created an insanely cozy retreat where nature, peace and good, close life come all the way into the heart. This place is designed with a positive hand for the cosy, without it being too feminine. Everywhere there are funny things, crooked gadgets and authentic style. 2 meters from the terrace graze the cows, the chickens are chuckling in the backyard and the pool is nice cooling when it's 34 degrees outside

Wine tasting tours are available whilst you stay with us here at The Old Cafe.
Starting with a vineyard discovery with information regarding the grapes grown and the work that goes on throughout the year to create Chablis.
Then off for a winery visit to understand the methods of vinification and aging, following the grapes from the press to the bottle.
After which you will taste the range of Chablis' wine, Petit Chablis to Grand Cru.
And to finish a second tasting is planned in an other winerie.
