runDisney holds a special place in my heart! The challenge of training for a half marathon is rough, but the adrenaline and excitement of the race weekends is AMAZING! We take an annual Mother/Daughter trip for the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend each year and it is the best getaway!! We finished the challenge- 10k (6.2 miles) on Saturday and the half marathon (13.1 miles) on Sunday morning for a total of 19.3 race miles! If you are thinking about a girls trip to a Disney destination (or anywhere, really), DO IT!!

The Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is celebrating 25 years this year! This giant gingerbread house even doubles as a market to sell festive baked goods! The Gingerbread House is open 9:30am to 9:30pm everyday during the Christmas season and since it’s only a Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom park it is a perfect little escape if you need a break from the parks.

We stayed at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Villas during our most recent stay and coming “home” to this beauty each day was so fun!

Some BIG NEWS for Disney’s Hollywood Studios today!!

🚪New Doors Open for Monsters and Muppets at Hollywood Studios🎸

That’s right, humans will be able to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Building off the exciting announcements from last summer’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the new land will include the coaster we’ve all dreamed of – a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show.

To make way for the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! But there’s more to the story: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!
