One year ago today, life surprised me in the best possible way ♥️ 🐾

, and I found little Minki on the busy streets of Tel Aviv, alone and in need of help. While I never considered myself a “cat person,” it turns out the universe knew better. Minki sneaked herself into my heart, in March she moved with me to Germany & filled my life with unexpected joy, cuddles, and a new kind of love I didn’t know I needed.

Huge thanks to Lironi for recognizing that this tiny soul needed us and for insisting we take her in. You’ve changed both of our lives forever 🥹🙏🏼

Here’s to the first year of Minki’s new life and to the many beautiful moments ahead. Sometimes, life’s best plans are the ones you never see coming. ✨

About Me

Hi! I'm Alex, originally from Dusseldorf in Germany and I never imagined I would ever leave my home town until 2011. After my husband and I spent 5 years in Frankfurt a. M. and in Kaiserslautern for professional reasons, we got the chance to move to Israel in 2017. We arrived without any expectations and fell in love with Israel from the very first second - above all because of the warm and open-minded people who immediately infected us with their positive attitude.

The impressive history and culture. A nature that has A LOT to offer - from mountains and forests in the north, to southern flair on the Mediterranean Sea, to the Negev desert in the south. Incredibly good and fresh food. A successful start-up scene and fascinating economy. A great nightlife in Tel Aviv. Mediterranean climate. Beautiful beaches. And just very warm and friendly people.

I hope my impressions give you a little insight to the diversity of the country and I am happy to share my personal tips with everyone who is planning to travel to Israel in the future. I try to stay away from complex politics in all contributions and therefore only address those who are looking for recommendations on sights and activities in Israel.
