Wildebeest, also known as gnus or wildebai, are herbivorous animals found on the grasslands of Africa, belonging to the Bovidae family. They are crucial members of the grassland ecosystems and are commonly seen in East African countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa.

Wildebeest are characterized by their long, robust bodies, short and thick necks, elongated heads, and large horns. Their horns are flat and curved forward, often used for protection against predators. Feeding primarily on grass, Wildebeest are essential herbivores in African grasslands.
