is a small, but pretty surprising country. Almost magical, I could say.
Especially, if you try to discover it one step at a time.
Each region in Jordan, each city holds so many wonderful things to do and see, that it feels not like you are going to a trip to a certain country. Instead, it's like you're visiting each day of your stay a different country.
Around 7-8 days are the ideal time to go and get a glimpse on most of the important sights and landmarks in Jordan. And of course, try some of the most unique experiences. From Aqaba to Amman. Or the other way around.
You just need a car for flexibility and a pre-established itinerary.
Lovely places:
🌴 Aqaba -> glass-bottom boats, sunk war relics, beautiful beaches and palm trees;
🏺 Madaba -> amazing byzantine mosaics, archeological sites, artist workshops and traditional food;
⛲ Ma'in -> natural hot springs believed to have healing properties; first mentions dating back to Herod's times;
🔱 Amman -> ancient Roman Ruins and Jordanian traditional architecture, plus amazing street art.
Must try experiences:
⛺ sleep in a Martian tent in the desert, surrounded by dramatic landscapes;
🪨 Explore by Night, surrounded by hundreds of candles and the shepherds' flute songs;
🏠 Visit a Bedouin's cave house and learn about their customs;
👙 Swim in the Dead Sea and let yourself enchanted by the salt-filled water landscape.
My 7-day long itinerary, with good and bad, with visited landmarks, hotels and restaurants, as it all happened:
