Something giant, something fluffy, something pink.

This is Fifi, the Poodle, 🐩and she lives in a huge warehouse filled with kinetic toys, just outside Baltimore's inner harbor, at the feet of Federal Hill. 📌

New post on the blog. From the faraway, geothermal wonderland of Rotorua, New Zealand.

Indigenous villages, dormant volcanos, geysers all over the city, ancient forests and beautiful rolling hills, just like the ones from Lord of the Rings.

How to spend one day in Rotorua by exploring the coolest things to do & see: bubbling mud ponds, geysers, the Māori, dormant volcanoes and giant Kauri trees.

When in Vietnam!

While in Ho Chi Minh City, I started my foodie adventure with a Poke restaurant. I tried these salads in Danang, and I could not stay away since.

🥗 Poke salads are "build"-it-yourself salad bowls from lots and lots of fresh ingredients, including vegetables🌶️ and raw fish 🍣. They are a heaven for light and nourishing meals.

Poke salads, in shorts:
🔸 base vegetable + raw fish + sauce + topping + good mood;
🔸 Hawaiian origin;
🔸 extremely healthy;
🔸 incredibly tasty;
🔸 DIY, extremely fun experience;
🔸 no spoon necessary, just two lovely 🥢chopsticks!

⭐ Some other Ho Chi Minh City restaurants that I've tried:

There, in the very heart of Bukchon Hanok Village, an old man is selling fish cake (South Korea, Seoul, Jongno-gu, 계동길 83). With his little hanok restaurant, almost lost in time, he adds more color to one of the busiest streets in Seoul.

There is nothing more charming than getting lost , narrow, maze-like alleys of the Bukchon neighborhood. Do you agree?

is a small, but pretty surprising country. Almost magical, I could say.

Especially, if you try to discover it one step at a time.

Each region in Jordan, each city holds so many wonderful things to do and see, that it feels not like you are going to a trip to a certain country. Instead, it's like you're visiting each day of your stay a different country.

Around 7-8 days are the ideal time to go and get a glimpse on most of the important sights and landmarks in Jordan. And of course, try some of the most unique experiences. From Aqaba to Amman. Or the other way around.

You just need a car for flexibility and a pre-established itinerary.

Lovely places:
🌴 Aqaba -> glass-bottom boats, sunk war relics, beautiful beaches and palm trees;
🏺 Madaba -> amazing byzantine mosaics, archeological sites, artist workshops and traditional food;
⛲ Ma'in -> natural hot springs believed to have healing properties; first mentions dating back to Herod's times;
🔱 Amman -> ancient Roman Ruins and Jordanian traditional architecture, plus amazing street art.

Must try experiences:
⛺ sleep in a Martian tent in the desert, surrounded by dramatic landscapes;
🪨 Explore by Night, surrounded by hundreds of candles and the shepherds' flute songs;
🏠 Visit a Bedouin's cave house and learn about their customs;
👙 Swim in the Dead Sea and let yourself enchanted by the salt-filled water landscape.

My 7-day long itinerary, with good and bad, with visited landmarks, hotels and restaurants, as it all happened:

I got today to . Or Melaka, as locals call it. 🌴🌴🌴

A charming, long-lasting Malaysian city upon which ancient trading routes left their mark. Portuguese, Dutch and British, trying to control the commerce in the area, along with Chinese and Indians, the 19th century immigrants, built the most captivating part of today's Melaka.

I made the 10 hour-long day trip by booking a guided tour. But, luckily, not without researching beforehand the history of the place and sights to see.

Tour was mostly about what the Dutch and Portuguese left behind. And 40 minutes of Chinatown shopping. Two churches, the Red Square, Jonker street and Peranakan food.

Still, it skipped some absolute gems that you can easily visit in 10-20 minutes each, at most:

📌 Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum
📌 Temple Chin San Kong (青山宫)
📌 Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum

I separated for one hour from the group so I could see them.

The image is from the the first one, a Chinese house, a true work of art in what concerns the architectural and interior design details.

I know this tours are based on sightseeing, but including at least a museum or special temple would have brought a much expected added value.
