This is the fifth year I am leading this tour with my friend, master Guatemalan kitemaker Julio Asturius. It is an amazing opportunity to see these wonders (some as large as a 6 story building) made entirely from chinese tissue paper and glue, involving over 700 members of the community in months of collective labor. I have lived in Guatemala for over 4 years and am delighted to lead this tour which showcases the many creative wonders of the Maya culture here.
