Hailing from Cairns, Australia, where there’s no snow or bobsleigh tracks, Bree’s journey from training in a parking lot to standing on the world podium is nothing short of inspiring. Against all odds, she competes with and defeats the world’s best, typically coming from winter sports powerhouses with year-round ice access.

Earlier in October, our CEO Tony Bridgewater and Head of Sales Josh Mayer crossed the pond to exhibit Arival 360 Conference in San Diego. The four-day event included countless hours of networking and meetings, some eye-opening sessions run by Douglas Quinby and the Arival team, and many breakout sessions on various topics. Like everyone else, we’re excited about the 2024 Summer Olympics, which are about to get underway in Paris. Australian athletes are poised for strong showings in swimming, track and field, and boxing, among other events.

At the same time, we can’t help but look forward to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. That’s because ResPax is a proud sponsor of Bree Walker, the pilot of the Australian bobsleigh team. “Bobsled Bree,” as she is affectionately known, is a former track-and-field star who took her skills to the ice beginning in 2016. She and her team finished fifth in the 2022 Winter Olympics, and in March of this year, at Lake Placid, N.Y., she became the first Australian to win a bobsleigh World Cup gold medal.

We’re proud of Bree and love sponsoring her athletic pursuits. Her dedication, excellence, and groundbreaking progression from longshot to champion reflect the same spirit ResPax brings to the reservations-technology field. So, as we cheer Aussie athletes in Paris, we’ll also dream of Italian ice and 2026.
