Puntas Surf Shop opened up in June of 2016. A sister business with Puntas Surf School that has been running since 2004. We offer over 50 surfboards to rent, as well as beach chairs, paddle boards, and boogie boards.
We also sell new and used surfboards, and take boards for consignment.
Puntas Surf Shop also has snorkel gear, surfboard fins, leashes, sunscreen, beach towels, ding repair, rash guards, and basically anything and everything for your surf and beach supplies. We also have a variety of swimsuits (men's,women's and kids), sandals, sunglasses, jewelry, sarongs, hats, dresses, and much more.
With The BD Cafe located downstairs offering coffee, smoothies, and yummy breakfast and brunch eats, we also have a large upstairs deck for lounging and yoga classes we offer 4 days a week. A large TV and couch are located in the main room of the shop where we play live surf contests and surf videos.
Puntas Surf Shop is a local one stop shop for all your beach and surf needs!

Rincon, Puerto Rico, is one of the best kept vacation secrets in the world. Although the surrounding area of this historic seaside village is exotic and breathtaking, choosing to stay at Coconut Palms Inn is extremely affordable. You will certainly enjoy your stay at our beachfront property.
We have 1 bedroom studios and 1 bedroom apartments. A studio is similar to a hotel room, has a queen bed, small sitting area, bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine. An apartment has a living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, king or queen bedroom, bathroom, patio, all the comforts of home. ALL units have AC, color cable TV, daily housekeeping & laundry service and are fully equipped.

Some of our rooms start at $75 a night! We have a couple of small rooms that we built small and we keep inexpensive specifically for surfers who can't afford luxury accommodations. They are just a bedroom & bath with mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine. Board storage is right outside the door. Come hit the waves!

Adult Beginner Spanish Class!!! - Starts, January 26th!!

Spanish Immersion Rincon-SIR- Beginner group class

This introductory course, is ideal for students who have some Spanish (High school or College). Did you learn some Spanish at home but, no experience? You can do it!!! You will have a lot of time to practice conversation, culture, real life scenarios and fun activities that will push you to the next level.

Session I: This session provides the students an exploration of the Spanish language and improvement of conversation skills. You will learn grammar and sentence structure. The grammar covered in this class will include; irregular present tense verbs, prepositions, Ser and Estar, adjectives, numbers and formal commands

NEW Independent Language Practice Lab: 1.5 hour lab-Once/per week** (optional)

* *Students will practice their Spanish skills in fun experiential independent creative settings while monitored by the instructor.

The week between Christmas and New Year is a time of significance and reflection. In Rincon, the winter visitors begin to return and with them an energy and movement and before Rincon became a winter destination we have what makes it so always existed. We have just past the winter solstice and the days of deep winter up north begin to show themselves here in surf and some cool breezes and low humidity. It has been this way since before the Spanish and before the Tainos... since before time began. This quick image from the Lemontree reminds us of the eternal and the basics. As we say: Feliz Navidad... ¡Próspero Año Nuevo!

Rincon artist Maureen Schmidt began drawing at an early age and went on to study art at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. She moved to San Diego, CA in 1987 and worked at a specialty framing shop and art gallery.
Maureen's charcoal drawings and collage media were also represented by the gallery.

Since moving to Puerto Rico in 2006 she has branched out into watercolor and acrylic paintings, and is inspired by the vivid colors and natural beauty of this island paradise. Maureen's work is for sale at / The Red Door Boutique, Rincon/ Gaba Coffee & Art, in Rincon/ Barefoot Yoga y Bodega, Rincon , Puerto Rico. You can also view her work at the Rincon Art Stuido and her own personal website.
