The Yukon River is a major waterway in northwestern North America. The river has its source in British Columbia, Canada. The next part flows through the Yukon Territory and that is why the river got its name. The lower half of the river flows through the American state of Alaska. The river is 3,190 km long and flows into the Bering Sea in the Yukon-Kuskokwim estuary (Yukon-Kuskokwim).
